Those are the last lines of my Install Debug log:

The attached screenshot shows a reassuring message, however the BWS stopped responding. Looking at CPU and memory usage with Process Explorer obviously doesn't show any activity whatsoever. Inside my BG2 directory the last modified file is the 7zipped BiG World Upload Debug log file, which shows the lines pasted above.

As far as I see, this isn't a known issue. Any hint? TIA

Seems to me that your install was a success.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Seems to me that BWS declared victory when still at a few millimeters from the finish line.. Guess I'll perform another installation overnight and see if the issue occurs again.

(By the way: how much safe is the BiG World Cleanup batch? I never remembered using it, but this time I'm really tempted to.)

It failed on zipping up the debug files. Those are not even Baldurs Gate related files but rather for the installer itself. Your install should work correctly.

Sure? The only thing that was left was to enable the close button and wait for it being clicked.
Maybe enable usage of the cleanup batch or resetting the BWS so it could be executed again....

Second can still be done and if you close it by error or clicking a button.... well, would be a bit much effort just to see if it happens again, wouldn't it?

Edit: Zip was created. ;) But as said, the install is not affected by that at all.

THINK! - It's not illegal.

Performed another identical installation, and this time the BWS finished its dirty (but very much appreciated) job cleanly without any hangs.

Now, can I safely copy the cleanup batch to the main folder, sit back and enjoy while it washes the dishes, or it's something that can bring troubles, in the short or long term?
