BGT, OSX10.9.4 - GOG/Wine - Assertion 834 + "-1" launch error

Hello,

I have very recently acquired BG1 and 2 off of GOG, wanting to play the 1 with the 2 engine. Now when I start modding, everything installs great, except for BGT. I can run BG1 and 2 to the quick save mark. I then proceed to remove the /cache files, replace the exe with the weidu+maverick and rename it, proceed to installation, specify the pathway.

Once I fully install the BGT-118, I am unable to launch BG2 at all.

Installation runs smoothly all the way to the end,

I tried uninstalling and re-installing, numerous times with different little tweaks and trials.

Here are errors I perceived in the bgt install.

"Converting tilesets...
/bin/sh: bgt/install/osx/amd64/tis2bg2: cannot execute binary file"

and

ERROR: BIFF [./MOVIES/MOVINTRO.BIF] cannot be loaded: Unix.Unix_error(Unix.ENOENT, "stat", "./MOVIES/MOVINTRO.BIF")
[INTRO15F.MVE] --biff-get error: Unix.Unix_error(Unix.ENOENT, "stat", "./MOVIES/MOVINTRO.BIF")

I get a repeat of that line maybe 50 times in a row.

I did the osx/amd64/ folder and put the binaries in there, tried to find the most up-to-date files.

I fiddled with the video options (windowed, different resolution, 3d acceleration) and managed to move from Assertion Failed at line 628, file bgtwav.bif

to...

A box with nothing but "-1", then Assertion failed in ChDimm.cpp at line 834.

I have read that the previous was caused by Aliases in the baldurs.ini, every appears to be fine.

If anyone has anything, that would be ggggrrreeeatly appreciated!

Could you open the files(in both the BG1 and BG2 directories) and copy paste their texts to a post, so we can take a look. Of course you preferably separate the texts so we know which is which.

The very last entry is a faulty one, because it never existed in the first place. Now then, does there exist a folder called "movies" in the C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\ -folder ? Or a folder called "data" that contains the "movies" folder ... so yeah, the structure would be C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\data\movies\25movies.bif in the very last case.

Trick that might need to be done, is to edit the [Alias] -section to be:

[Alias]
HD0:=C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2
CD1:=C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\
CD2:=C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\
CD3:=C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\
CD4:=C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\
CD5:=C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\;C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\CD5\

That and you then need to copy the "25movies.bif" file from the C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\ -folder to C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\CD5\Movies\ -folder.

The files called "MovIntro.bif" and "Movies.bif" should be in here: C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\data\Movies\
If they are not, move them there !

Also this:

is all except the first HD0-line wrong, the CD1 to CD6's content are in the data folder, not in the data/data sub-folders, so the paths actually don't matter a bit, but they are technically wrong. This is purely because the team that made the GOG game made a few mistakes.

There is really this part of the bgt install that makes me think is the source of my problem... Unless I'm totally wrong. I did like someone over the GOG forum suggested, put a copy of tis2bg2 into the main folder.
