Here are a list of bugs I found in my latest game.  The first six are not serious and really do not interfere with the game.  The seventh is very annoying.

1) "You Cannot cast multiple instances of the same contingency spell on yourself."  This phrase pops up all the time.

2) I had problems with Taerom Furium and Ankheads.  I could only sell to him, else I was in a loop of the initial conversation.  After the ankhead was sold to him, no more problems.

3) Cannot kill Transig. Locked in a loop where he asks for mercy.  I killed him with <CTRL>-Y and got 2000 experience for that.  First time I got experience using <CTRL>-Y.

4) Game always crashes when I am attacked by cave bears in area AR9700, bottom center of area.  If I fight using the group, game crashes.  If I fight with only lead character, all is OK.

5) Two Sils are in front of the cave in the Lighthouse area.  Only one talks to you.

6) Crash in the cave in the Lighthouse area. On reloading, got this message.  Windows 7 error message: Access violation at address 0042CC86 in module 'baldur.exe'. Read of address 00000128.

7) First game breaker.  This has happened before in my previous game.  One of my party gets hit with some type of fire weapon from a wolf.  It could be a meteor shower or something like that.  During the battle, the character takes damage with each missile.  After the battle, the graphic keeps flashing.  The rate seems faster than when the attack was first made.  Resting or traveling to another area does not stop the graphic.  Very annoying and distracting.  You need to back to an earlier save to stop it.

My advice is to make an extra save frequently so if this happens to you, you do not loose more than a few real hours of game playing time.

That's a really badly described problem. First of all, does the wolf have any identifying features ? What kind of missiles were the "missiles" ?

Basically I see at least three scenarios.

The "wolf" was a Winter Wolf, the missile the typical frost breath attack it can use one's in the game. The spell could have been altered.

Second is that it was somekind of magic wolf that casts magic missiles.

Third, hilarious, it was somekind of a poisonous wolf, that shot acid arrows.

Second to last, a hilarious, it was a hell wolf that shoots flame arrows.

Last, a hilarious mix of them all. The Imps new best friend.

Ouh, and was this in BGT or in the actual BG1 ? There's only a minor 99% chance that you used the wrong word, loosing a lots of the ...

The 1 should be a sight that you shouldn't try to use multiple same kind of those in your game. Or is the bug that the text is there, but it's because the spell itself casts multiple effects and the casting auto prints the line without you trying to affect it ?

The 6, hmm what does the TobEx.log contain about that bug ? So make sure the ToBEx has the logging enabled, then reproduce the crash, and then go to your game directory and copy paste the last print of the file.

You open the file with Notepad.

OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Hi The Imp:

I was on my way to a doctor's appointment and rushed through the post.  I should have waited until I got back.

This is a BGT game.  New mods from the last game where #2, #3, #4 and #5 did not occur are Almateria's Restoration Project v6.4, Baldur's Gate Trilogy Graphics Overhaul v1.7, Difficulty and Tweaks Mod v6, and Multistronghold.

#1 Nobody is casting any spells.  Mages have not advanced to the point where they are not able to cast that spell.  The comment appears for all six in the group even though only two can cast mage spells, a mage and a bard.

#6 Nothing in Baldur.err or Baldur.log about that statement.

#7 This occur rs in Trade Way South after dark.  The Vampiric Wolf Lord howls and two other types of wolves are brought into battle.  I have tried to recreate the battle.  The wolf types I got this time were Dread Wolves and Zombie Wolves.  Too much action to get more information.  At the time of this battle, there were four groups attacking my party.  They were Wolfweres, Hobgoblins, Kobolds and the Vampiric Wolf Lord and his summoned wolves.  One of the types of wolves that was brought in by the howling breaths fire.  They look like micro fire balls.  Each breath produces only one.

I have a "Just In Case" saved game along with the other saves.  This way I do not loose to much.  My problem was doing a quick save and going to another area to try and clear the graphic.  Last game I used Dispel Magic but that did not remove the graphic.

I hope this clears up the first post on this topic.

Number 1 is definitely:

~SETUP-TURAMBAR_FIXES_TWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #2050 // Turambar's slow drow weapon disintegration (a revision of BG2Tweaks code)

It has been reported many times about that side-effect. I don't know any solution or fix for that problem, except not installing this component.

And posting you weidu.log in attachment would be helpful.

Hi Mad Mate:

Thanks for the information.  I do have Turambar #2050 installed.  I usually do not include that component and will remove it from future games.

Here is my WieDU.log.

Attached File  WeiDU.log   58.62K   76 downloads

I did not get any errors when this was installed.

Just had another nasty fight in Trade Way South.  This time I was able to identify the Zombie Wolf is the one that breathes fire.  The sad part is you win the long battle, but need to reload the game to get rid of that annoying graphic.
