Hello there!

Since I do love roleplaying in Baldurs Gate I want to ask you guys what your RP habits in Baldur's Gate are.

For example, how do you deal with death in your playthroughs?

I personally give myself a 3 day time in which the NPC can be resurrected (nice little difficulty increase for BG1) and decrease the characters CON value per x death/s depending on their current CON value.

18 CON+ & 16-18 STR

3 deaths / -1 CON

15 CON - 18 CON & -16 STR

2 deaths / - 1  CON

7 CON - 14 CON

1 death / - 1 CON

5 - 6 CON

1 death / -1 CON, -1 STR

1 - 4 CON

DEATH

Got any interesting habits to share? :D

Unfortuneately, Baldur's Gate does not implement system shock checks, which are based on constitution.

This is because the clerics spell is not based on a natural order, but to a divine order(aka magic), or whatever, that has nothing to do with the characters constitution. A bit unlike the Harper's Call, that does have it's limitation(aka, you can't raise a character that has less than 6 Con or any attribute cause the ability penalty of negative 5 for a minute).

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
