Hi,

I just done a fresh install. GOG version, linux.

Installed in this order :

- bg2fixpack, yes to everything

- bgt

- widescreen

Nothing else. Everything went fine until I left the area where Gorion died, and instead of seeing the map, the game freezes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Does uninstalling the Widescreen mod help ? It probably won't, but asking cause one never knows.
Also was the BG1 install you used to make the BGT conversion from a clean one ?

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Tried uninstalling the widescreen mod, it didn't change.

The BG1 was freshly downloaded from gog, Baldur's Gate / The Original Saga, linux version.

My problem looks like this one : http://www.shsforums...sh-on-worldmap/

Except I also tried starting a BG2 game and opening the map : same freeze.

Don't know what to do =/

Starting Throne of Baal, the map is displaying without any problem !

I really don't understand.

Sorry for the multipost...

I have this same issue too. So frustrating after finally getting everything sorted under Linux Mint (17.1). When I tried to transition from the area outside Candlekeep, the game crashes. I can't do squat, and had to restart the system, or rather log back in with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.

Do anybody know what is wrong, and how we can fix this? It makes playing the game impossible :(

Reinstalled everything and only installed BGT, with no other mods, didn't bif either. Game still crashed, annoyingly, but this time an error message popped up, which I saved. Hopefully somebody pops by the forum at some point and can make sense out of this. Right now it looks like BGT is unplayable on Linux :(

Good grief, the log looked good in Preview post, but it omitted the embedded code tag for some reason when posting, so here it is again, hopefully more readable.
