--change-log the file called "imoen10.cre". And upload the resulting change-log folder as an archive file(.zip is usually the best) to an upload site like mediafire for example, so we can check the files and the exact mods altering the file. It could be as simple as wrongly written patch file that throws everything to the mud.

PS, the archive in the link is very old, so when you extract it, make sure to  NOT to overwrite the existing weidu.exe with the one in the archive, as doing that will downgrade the file and that will result into a bad report.

Thanks, this afternoon I will make it.

Only Imi's sample is enough for you, or need some other characters?

Well, it might, of course making more logs could help eliminate more possibilities, but cramming through all of them is always more troublesome. Also I don't have the BGT installed  so I can't give you the exact .cre file references you should make the log from Monty, Khalid... but I believe them to be: "khalid1.cre" and "montar1.cre". Also I take it that you are Zoltan in G3.

Also you might wish to --change-log the dialog.tlk -file.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Yes, I am. :)

Ok, 2 hours, and I try to make it. (I'm dummy at coding, but can interpret obvious instructions. :D )

Do you think, it can be some BGT problem?

I now think it's as AstroBryGuy says(in the G3 forums thread), your dialog.tlk might have gotten replaced by mod, or something to that effect and that will break a lot of things, as the indexing is totally off after it.

Darn, seems very likely that what AstroBryGuy says is true, cause as I look at those files with unmodified game, I can use them as they are without any oddness that you have. So now to the --change-log'ging of the "dialog.tlk" file. Yes, that file is HUGE and processing it is likely going to take some time and a lots of space especially with the install you have, but to get this sorted, you kinda have to do this.

I can try, but I tried it also when I made the imoen10.cre,  and the change-log closed shortly after I'd run it, and in the change-log directory I could see only the change-log txt, with just this:

[WeiDU.exe] WeiDU version 23700

Mods affecting DIALOG.TLK:

and nothing more.

So should I do something else, or just run it again, wait, and in the background, the change-log bat saws the wood?

Or should I change-log it in the Baldur's Gate directory, and not in BGII-SoA?

No, definitely not. :)

But still only that change-log txt file in the directory, that no mod affects dialog.tlk

So, somehow the change-log doesn't want to handle the dialog.tlk properly (if it counts properly as it handled the imoen10.cre).

Ah ... the weidu doesn't make a backup out of the file, so it's not change-log -able. Sorry, I wasn't thinking earlier ... hmm, though I would ask, into which category does the BWinstallation you have fall into ? Recomended, Standard, Expert or Tactical...

Tactical, though I made a thorough research before (and had had some good and bad experiences also), and I made a personal selection based on the tactical one.

So I got rid of many mods, I don't need, especially all of the big mods of BG1 and BG2, except the BGT, many NPC mods, mainly the kit mods, but I picked up some other ones (like bard song patch, some components of oversight (not Sendai),

You're thinking of which mods I need to get rid of to avoid this bug with the dialogs, or something else?

Oh, dear, a "horrible" suspicion came to my mind! Can it be a "simple" patch problem???

'cause I installed the UK one, for both the ToSC (the 5512), and ToB, but I'm from Hungary (I've bought the DVD set here).

My reason, to use the UK-patch was that when I tried to install the International one, I  was asked to choose language (French, German, Italian, etc.), and I didn't have the faintest idea, which one I must choose, I was afraid of some language issues in the game, so I decided for the UK patch.

What do you think of it?

Well, I have ever only used the US/English ones: BG1 & BG2. At this point, I have no idea.

Do you think, there are some risky mods, that may overwrite the dialog files, e.g. mods, that contain creature corrections (like Lol's mod, or turambar's tweaks), or some NPC mods? (In that case I pull out them.)

It is suspicious, that the problem seems to be pop up only in the BG1, and just the narrations and NPC voices, the other non-joinable NPC-s had all the correct voices, and BG2 seems to be working as well.

I've made some trials, and my biggest suspect now is the InfinitySounds mod. The cause is that Inf.Sou. have put up some extra voices to be selected at the character creation, and Imoen has one of these female voices (mixed with Minsc's one) at the beginning.

It's realy a pity, 'cause I really like that mod.

Do you think, there is some special component, that can be responsible for this? What about the casting sounds? (The readme told some problems with the casting sounds as I remember well.)

Thank you pal, it turned out!

The original BG1- ToSC installation was corrupted (but it hadn't turned out first, 'cause I saved game immediately and never encountered Imoen (and didn't come to know that her sound is buggy)), 'cause of Win 7 incomp. issues. So I restarted the Windows in reduced mod, and installed again, and know everything is (almost) fine. :)
