Okay... I am super-confused and frustrated with myself trying to figure this out on my own.

What I want is to make a Mega-mod installation with BGT, etc.

If I don't use the Widescreen mod then everything is cropped. If I do use the Widescreen mod at 1920 x 1080 resolution, then everything is way too "small" for my liking. Example:

Attached File  Baldr000.bmp   5.93MB   235 downloads

Attached File  Baldr002.bmp   5.93MB   143 downloads

If I use the Widescreen mod at a lower resolution, or if I set my screen resolution from my desktop down to say, 1024 x 728, then everything is cropped.

I just recently saw on YouTube someone playing with the BGT mod and everything looked "normally" scaled. Example:

Attached File  Untitled.bmp   5.93MB   186 downloads

Attached File  Untitled3.bmp   5.93MB   132 downloads

So what am I doing wrong when trying to get my in-game screen to look like the latter? My ignorance has been driving my crazy trying to figure this out!

(Btw I use a 40' 1080p TV as my computer monitor if it matters)

Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Well, if you notice, the 1920 x 1080 has aspect ration of 16 by 9, while the 1024 x 728 is 8 by 6(or 4:3), which explain the cropping due to different size relations.
Use one of these sixteen by nine standard resolutions:

864x486
960x540
1024x576
1280x720
1360x768
1600x900
1920x1080

It could also be that the TV can't actually show some of those modes, but then the TV is not a monitor.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

I think it might be the TV then. I tried setting the resolution to 1600x900 in the Widescreen mod and everything is still cropped. (sigh) Thanks anyway.

Then prevent the Tv from scaling. Had the same problem with a Samsung Tv and it can be solved.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

I'm also using a Samsung TV. Can you elaborate a little on what worked for you? Did you have the Widescreen mod installed, or no? What resolution were you playing at?

Maybe I should say I had a similar problem with scaling in general and I solved it by playing by going to the Tools > Picture Format-menu and playing with the settings there.

@dabus, that's not very elaborate man.. but assuming bit...

You first went and set the windows desktop say 1280x720 resolution, then you used the TVs own menu'es to show that resolution without clipping, scaling or other things, and then you use that to play everyone of the games you play with that TV with it, and then you used the Widescreen mod to install with that resolution.
