Hello, I am facing a somewhat unordinary problem, I took a loooong long break from my playthrough of megamod bg2 +tob and now ive run into a bit of a problem in my continued adventures from an earlier save.

Apparently one of the quests in the mod has a timed element which, after running out, gives me a cutscene of mages discussing/scrying the pc being a "source of disturbance" or something like that at which point they cast some sort of uberish spell killing my player character (or apparently something to do with my pc losing his soul etc). I have no recollection where this quest starts or ends and I was hoping someone could recognize the q saving me the trouble of going through the script with ie editor.

So.. anyone remember what mod and/or quest holds this plot of several mages scrying and apparently stealing my soul when a timer runs out? ..and if someone can remember where to finish this quest... even better!

Thank you in advance.

Ahhh, original post here. I went through the script anyway and it seems it is a time issue on a quest started in riatavin. Supposed to search for some riatavian captain at city gates but the travel time is longer than the time given to accomplish this meeting which makes it impossible to travel to the gates in time before the death cutscene. Simple MoveToArea AR0020 fixes this. I apologize for the unnecessary post.

Never unnecessary to post this kind of game breaking issue. How old is that install, because it might be fixed already?

I haven't played any of the big mods in a while but that Riatavin city sounds like it's from TDD? Though I don't remember much of it...

Could also be a conflict with the BP-BGT Worldmap and travel time to mod areas.

EDIT : Mod area named ARxxxx... nice  :wall:  Please provide a WeiDU.log file.

Hello, yes further searching in the forums revealed this is an old problem with the Worldmap you mentioned but apparently only in old installs like mine (http://www.shsforums...cowled-wizards/) so shouldnt be a problem any longer.

Another thing is that I did not bother to figure out whether the travel time change brought by Worldmap is the game breaking issue or whether I just had spent too much time doing something else to have enough time to travel there in my old saves.. I did have the same problem with all the saves I tried.

Yes the ARxxxx is because the npc the PC needs to talk to before the timer runs out spawns  at Athkatla city gates after starting the quest. I suppose you could circumvent this also with the CreateCreature"" if for some reason the encounter does not trigger at gates. I am fairly sure this is part of TDD main plot somehow.

Thank you for the response! Luckily it wasnt a gamebreaking fault anyway, my adventure continues :D

The Widescreen mod is in a very bad spot in your install order, as it might be necessary for it to edit the small areas when it's installed, and this is not done to areas that are still to be installed by TDD, TS-BP as the game crashes if you enter an area that is smaller than the base screen size.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Well the quickest fix involves uninstalling the game :whistling: ... it's not really that fast.

It would probably help you to use the BiG World Setup tool to make a real megamod.

The latest version is the master and can be found here, see Commits for changes..
The downloads are for guys that don't like snapshots and are not updated frequently.
