I've re-installed a few times and keeping randomly having CTD issues in this area. Does anyone know how to figure out what's causing it?

UPDATE: It seems to only happen anytime I approach the South-West area (anywhere near the water), and only during the day.

UPDATE #2: Okay, after some testing, the issue seems to be with the Baldur's Gate EE Graphics Overhaul mod. I re-isntalled with everything except that and the crash didn't occur. I hope this can be resolved because the BGEEGO is pretty awesome.

The water texture for that area is WTRIV which is an OEM overlay. I'm not getting the problem here, so if you're proficient with a hex editor try the following:

Open ar4300.wed

Find the WTRIV entry (it's not far from the top)

Change it to say YSRIV which is the overlay used at night

Save the .wed file.

Now try approaching that area again. If it still crashes then there's something else wrong.

I'm troubleshooting a few other (unrelated) things with Quiet at the moment. Once I'm through with that though I'll try out your suggestion. I'm somewhat familiar with Near Infinity. Would it be possible for me to make the adjustment using that? If I have trouble or an update I'll PM you.

Yes, you can change the overlay in NI. Just doubleclick WTRIV and select YSRIV from the dropdown.

*frustrated sigh* I still experienced the crash. Tried it in an existing game and after starting a new game.

EDIT: (By the way "*frustrated sigh*" is not directed towards you, Yovaneth. I just wish I was more tech-savvy)

Install only BGEEGO and that like looks day map of ar4300 location:

Night map looks fine. After removal new (from BGEEGO) ar4300.wed from override directory day map also looks fine.
