Hey, i'm running both refinments and RR, followed the RR instructions (install RR first without the HLA components, installed refinments, installed RR HLA components afterwards) and i'm still getting the refinments HLA for some reason. Any clue as to why that may happen?
Problem with RR HLA

It's because you are forced into using the Refinements rogues, because the HLA component replaces the vanilla ones with it's own, to enable the use scrolls HLA and removal of the UAI HLA.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thanks for the reply, is there any workaround to fix this?

Well, going to the refinements/lib/hlab.tpa -file with Notepad and commenting out(you set "/*" at the beginning and "*/" at the end, without the quotes):
/* Include our patented 'Use Scrolls' engine. */ INCLUDE ~refinements/lib/kit.tpa~
Very similar like the comment already in it, should remove the making of the special kits and so forth, of course it's a large part of what makes the HLA component what it is, so expect what you should.

If you install HLAs from Refinements, RR intentionally preserves them and adapts to their presence. In other words, from what you've said thus far, you are experiencing expected behaviour.
