There's a cave modded in in Trade Way South aka AR3200 with goblins, goblin shaman, bone remains, magical shield and a tattered note rambling about some Gwalhaudh.

I've always felt that this bones and a note are some kind of a quest start, but I have no idea how to continue it if it's true at all. May be it's just that: a piece of loot and some misc. items added for flavour. Anyway, anybody knows if this is a quest or at least what mod is this from so that I could dig at that mod forum? :)

That cave is part of Aurora mod.

Sadly it's not start of any quest, it's just one of encounters Aurora adds into game both BG1 and BG2.

About that shield:

One hint for BG2:

The other items in the cave may be "junk" for now, but have a very specific purpose in a future release of Aurora.
That's great to know seeing as this feels so much as a quest start. Oh, and will we be able to resurrect this Gwalhaudh chap? I'm missing the ability to find a deader and resurrect him since Eye of Beholder 1 :)

P.S. quoting spoilers while answering is really screwed in forum :(

But you didn't actually have to quote the whole of what you quoted, so ... just removing the spoiler content via the BBCode mode would be the best approach. Yes, sometimes the forum software freaks out with the quoting system ... just put things on red.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
