So,

Xan has no given last name.  In Icewind Dale you meet an elf named Erevain Blacksheaf who via diary found later, reveals that Xan is his cousin.

So, do you think Xan is Xan Blacksheaf or do you think Xan has a different last name?  If so, what?

Thanks,

Bill

Well that depends... and yes, you have to mean the second name as last name aka family name, in this context ... on how the people are related to each others. If it's Xan and Erevain are related by their fathers being brothers, then their family name would in human cultures here on Earth, the same, but that's still a far stretch. As the family name is never actually said, you might actually want to write stuff about the character without it. As in, he is just "Xan".

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
