Is Isra compatible with mods that chance the story-progression in ToB?

Hey Rhaella!

Sorry that I am bothering you again with another question, but I figured that you would be my best bet to get a reliable answer on this matter.

As mentioned in my other thread, I am now actually pretty far progressed with Isra's SoA-romance (Chapter 6). One thing I really liked about the romance was that the LTs after the beginning of Chapter 4 didn't seem to be simply "timed" but were rather directly linked to the progression of the mainquest. To name a few there was a LT in Spellhold right after Irenicus stole Charname's soul, one after Irenicus got away and fled to the Underdark and one after returning to Athkatla for the first time after the Underdark. This is great as it tied the romance closely to Charname's personal fate/quest and made Isra's character much more interesting and believable .

Now for the ToB-portion of the game, there are several mods which actually change the way the story progresses a bit. One of those is "Wheels of Prophecy", which I have currently installed. The - potential - problem with this is, that "Wheels of Prophecy" changes some things drastically: the player gets the opportunity to visit Balthazar even before dealing with Sendai/Abazigal, makes it possible to reason with Balthazar so he teams up with you and also makes Elminster appear a bit later in the story.

So my question is this: are the Isra LTs in ToB directly tied to the progression of the mainquest like the post-Chapter 3 LTs in SoA were? Or are they mostly "timed" like the LTs prior to Chapter 4? And if they are not just simply timed, could "Wheels of Prophecy" screw up the romance? For example, would it be problematic if I would confront Balthazar before going after Sendai and Abazigal?

I still have A LOT to do in SoA (several large Quest mods like the "Colours of Infinity"-series, the Planar Prison, Trademeet, etc.), so there would be still enough time to uninstall "Wheels of Prophecy" before reaching ToB. I just wanted to check early, so I won't be disappointed later on, if the romance would be screwed due to the WoP mod. Because to be honest, it is much(!) more important to me to have a flawless experience with your stellar Isra-Mod than having the added content from "Wheels of Prophecy" - so it wouldn't be a big deal for me to uninstall it, if you think that it could lead to problems with the Isra romance.

I hope to hear from you soon :)

Have a nice day!

I think you'll be fine. There is a bit of plot related stuff, but it's generally not tied directly to the progress of the romance. Things are timed, though several won't trigger until after you've first met Balthazar in Amkethran. I don't believe any mods start mucking around that early in ToB, though. Good luck!

Many thanks for your reply, Rhaella!

Finally found some time to make actual progress in the ToB portion of my game. And the romance did continue: we had some LTs in Saradush, a short conversation after the Masterwraith and one talk after Saradush's destruction. And as you said after reaching Amkethran and meeting Balthazar 3 additional LTs happenend.

The last one of those 3 was about that she wanted to show me her home after the quest is over. She also (kinda) challenged my ranger to a horse riding race. Is that the final LT in ToB? Because I hadn't had another one since. I used EEKeeper to check the variables and "RH#ISRATALKSTOB" is set to 12.

As you probably have guessed from my other posts here on the forum, I am really worried that I will miss out on any of the (superb) romance content. So could you please tell me if I missed something, or if I can relax as I have seen everything there is to see in the romance. I have already killed Sendai and finished Watcher's Keep but still have to kill Abazigal and Balthazar if that is of any importance for the progress of the romance.

I am hoping for a quick reply!

Have a nice day!  :)
