I'm looking for mac version of this old tool because sox doesn't seem to support ACM format. If some has this tool that would work on mac and linux please upload it for me. The only thing I've found is this post but the link is dead and weyback machine doesn't seem to capture this file. All it finds is some kind of wav2acmb2.dmg file. Thanks in advance.

I have seen a few decoders that have been (or could be) compiled for mac or linux, but never any independent encoders.

Decoders:

libacm, acmtool for 64-bit linux, 64-bit acm2wav?

The best I can provide on the encoding side is ABel's original source code for acmlab (which includes the source for snd2acm).  PM me if you are interested.

"Ok, I've just about had my FILL of riddle asking, quest assigning, insult throwing, pun hurling, hostage taking, iron mongering, smart-arsed fools, freaks, and felons that continually test my will, mettle, strength, intelligence, and most of all, patience! If you've got a straight answer ANYWHERE in that bent little head of yours, I want to hear it pretty damn quick or I'm going to take a large blunt object roughly the size of Elminster AND his hat, and stuff it lengthwise into a crevice of your being so seldom seen that even the denizens of the nine hells themselves wouldn't touch it with a twenty-foot rusty halberd! Have I MADE myself perfectly CLEAR?!"

thanks Sam. It looks like that .dmg file is actually the file I need just in some awkward format.

Here is archived version of the site if anyone else need it: http://web.archive.o...toms/weidu.html

edit: or not. The dmg file is corrupted :(

The dmg file is fine, but the wav2acmb2 program is for PowerPC CPUs. Apple switched to Intel CPUs in 2006.

I wasn't able to compile this source, unfortunately. This tool is still needed to make EET work on OSX as intended. If some MAC user would be interested in helping out with compiling it, please contact Sam.
