First of all, you guys are doing a great job. Last time I played a MegaMod, must have been back in a time when I had 12 and more hours to myself to install all these mods by hand.

Anyway, to my question...it seems to be me that the hitpoint system has changed, I realized when Imoen got lvl 2 and had an odd number for hitpoints, at first I thought that maybe I had set the game to a higher difficulty and got subpar result but it seems pretty consistent.

After some more testing it seems that the +7HP on levelup seems normal for Imoen. Do low health classes (i.e. non warrrior types) start with some extra health on the first level but get less on each level up now? That would actually be pretty cool.

Then again, Imoen should have 8 at the beginning...and 40 by level 5, which works out fine when she starts at 12, 19, 26, 33, 40. But then she keeps gaining 7...until level 9 that is. On the 10th she gets 5, on the 11th it's 3, on the 12th as well.

I'm pretty sure thieves used to get 6+HP bonus for 10 levels and then only increments of 1, maybe 2, but 3 was reserved for warriors. Anyway, I don't mind the change if that's what it is and everything is working as intended, it would stretch out their hitpoints over more levels.

Still, some questions to that...is there somewhere a list where this changes are documented? Or maybe rather, from what tweak or mod is it (so I can check the readme)?

This is a funny story or not so fun.

See the gained HP is dependent on your difficulty. Kinda.

See if you set the diffuculty to be the core rules or higher, the HP gain is for thieves is the 1d6+Constitution bonus per level, which is random, and so for Imoen, it's from 3 to 8 with each level with 8 at the start(level 1). There's a mod that sets that to be 8 if you install it, but if you don't install it, it will always be random.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

That's what I thought too (and it was certainly true for vanilla), except that Imoen consistently gets 7HP (I can only assume 5 base and 2 from CON, I should maybe do some trials with potions of CON), until the 9th, then on the 10th she gets 5, and from then on constantly 2.

On the other hand, my Arcane Avenger constantly gets 12, which is a fighter kit and I have 18 CON...maybe having that dialogue popup setting to insane gives you the make...but limits what the max is.

...

So I reduced Imoens CON to 15, she now gets constantly 6hp, on the 10th she gets 4, on further levels she still gets 3...

On the other hand, my Warrior (now with CON 10) gets only 9 HP per level...so I'm starting to think I must have installed a different attribute system, more akin to 3rd edition, I faintly remember there being such a thing, but CTRL+F in WeiDu has revealed nothing when searching for attribute, ability, constitution, edition, third...

I guess I'll just post the WeiDu.

Hi, again, now I encountered the (apparently dreaded) web issue. I tried this fix.

"I had the same problem. It is caused by SpellpackB6 (even if I guess it is component 1203)

The way to fix it without re-installing my super-mega BGT installation was to copy d0spiweb.spl from the spellpackb6/backup/1203 folder into override. No more problems since then."

There wasn't much of a change in performance. I also tried with the file provided in the thread, neary a change. I'm really dreading entering the cloakwood forest, where a game from 15 years ago would bring my i5 on its knees.

Anyway, I've been trying around with NI, but I don't have a good grasp on it. How would I go about restoring the original animation for web? If such a thing is possible at all?

I mean, I did change the spell, by using the backup file from the setup to export spw215 into the override of my install...but while it works as a spell, there is no animation to go with it.

I should really consider getting an account...
