Can not switch from Fullscreen to Windowmode

Hi!

 

After a long time I decided to play BWP again (installed it a while ago - everything worked fine). Stupid as I am I asked myself how it would look in fullscreen and so checked the "Fullscreen-Option" ingame. However, when i open the game now i only see a very small part of the Menu, the rest is black. I cant even go to options because thats already in the "black part". So i reinstalled the Widescreen Mod - nothing changed. Now i simply uninstalled the Widescreen-Mod so i can play it in Fullscreen 800x600 (which is not very cool...). I tried to unceck the Fullscreen Option but it doesn't work - it stays checked.

 

So long story short: I cant play in Windowscreen or in a decent resolution and i don't know how to get the game to window mode... Can you please help me?

Sometimes the Windowed and fullscreen option gets stuck. To fix it, just exit the game, run the BGConfig.exe in the game folder and use the setting there to fix it.
I tried to uncheck the Fullscreen Option but it doesn't work - it stays checked.
The likely cause for this is, that because you start the game in 800x600 mode, your screen is set to go into that resolution mode and it cannot return to whatever the normal mode is until you end the games excecution, and so you can't actually go to a windowed mode cause your screen is already in full usage. Yep, the later games have better options for this, but this engine was 1998 in full swing, not at 2015. And there are still games that do not support Windowed mode.
