[Oracle]

Hi there I have just had to do a new reload due to my computer being wiped and downloaded BWS to upload my mods on my PC for the orginal versions of the BG/BGII games , I get the starting banner  but then nothing else. the game doesnt start at all. I have it on admin permisson and running with the right compatabity , I have i attached  the weidu log i hope  someone can find out were i have gone wrong.

Did you start the game before you started the BWS's .vbs ?
Also do you have the Microsoft Visual C++ ... things installed ? Cause the the ToBEx needs those... if I remempes.
And what do you use to run the game ? It needs to be the "BGMain.exe" ...

Hi followed the insturctions about setting up a save file in all three parts. I have the visual program and if i select bgmain it doesnt do a thing Thank you for the fast reply

So the game worked before you added mods (and TobEx, which is unlike other mods because it actually modifies BGMain) and now it doesn't.

 

I would try setting all of the Debug lines in BG2\TobEx_ini\TobExCore.ini to 1.  (Make a backup of the file first.)  Then run BGMain.exe again.  It should write some information to BG2\TobEx.log.  Check what it says there for clues about what might be causing the problem.

 

(For what it's worth, I did a BGT Recommended install this week and the game starts fine, so the problem is not with current version of BWS.  It's something specific to your setup.)
