BWS and Level 1 NPCs

Hi,

 

I'm trying a BWS install of BGT for the first time.

 

One thing I'm not sure about, and can't find anywhere else, is how Level 1 NPCs works, specifically in relation to choosing new classes or kits for NPCs.

 

The optional components for each NPC are there to select when choosing mods, but with no sub-options for classes and kits.

 

What will happen when those components are installed? Will the installer pause and prompt me to choose which class or kit I want?

 

If not, should I pause before that installs and do it manually?

Yes, it will stop during the install and prompt you. Alternatively, you can manually run setup-level1npcs.exe after the BWS install finishes, and then customize the NPCs. The advantage of doing this is you can then re-run the setup-level1npcs.exe and change them again as many times as you want without having to do a complete reinstall, as long as you only change the NPCs (don't uninstall or reinstall the core L1NPC components, or else WeiDU will try to unwind the earlier BWS installation, which never works correctly because not all install steps can be reversed cleanly).
