i just finished setting up my baldur's gate game using BWS.  all my mods installed correctly, but i'm having an irritating problem i've never experienced before.  every time i start the game it acts like its the first time and makes me reset the configuration file.  this isn't a big problem, but like i said its irritating.  if anyone has any ideas about whats causing this, or how i can fix it, i'd appreciate the help

not sure if its a mod causing this, but i exported my mod list from BWS: Attached File  BWS-Selection.txt   20.4K   164 downloads

thanks

Open the baldur.ini file and save it so that it has this line in so:
Installing=0

You might also need to move the game to a folder you have a (over)write privileges...

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

ok, i tried both suggestions and still having the same problem.  the "Installing=0" line was already there, the file was on read only, changed it, and changed ownership of entire install directory to make sure i had write/overwrite privileges.

Did that work ?
Cause from what I have read, it won't do in Windows 10, cause not even the adminsterator gets a special treatment, and so needs to edit only his own folder files, aka the game needs to be installed to the user accounts folders... Like for example here:
C:\Users\TheImp\Games\BGII - SoA\

i'm running windows 7, but it should work for windows 10 as well, this makes it easier to do: http://www.howtogeek...-menu-in-vista/

it gives full ownership of a file, or entire folder to the current user
