Hey All, I'm trying to do a big world install on a nonenhanced Bg2 install that was downloaded from GoG. I have done previous installs using the big world install pack made by Leonardo Watson. Now I'm ready to brush off bg2 and do so again. I'm using the 15.6.2 install pack downloaded here at SHS. I have all the mods unzipped in my directory and set up like the pdf instruction guide recommends. However, when I go to install (after resetting the comp and running the .bat file as administrator), is that it can't find the 25.movies.bif in my BgII - SoA\CD5\movies directory. I have confirmed that the 25.movies.bif exists in my data folder. Also my baldur.ini shows this CD5:=C:\Games\Baldurs Gate 2\data\ which is the correct path. I have disabled UAC also. I thought maybe this was a problem with the .bat file not recognizing that I had done a GoG install for some reason; but the pdf instruction guide says that the big world install.bat should recognize a GoG install since version 10.1. It has always worked in the past so I don't know what the problem is now. Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, I couldn't find anything that worked for me. I am not doing a BGT install and am not using the Bg2EE either. There are lots of bg2 mods that I use however so I prefer to utilize the big world install. I'd sure appreciate any help. Thanks!

Check goggame.dll present in your BG2 root, (where your BiG World Install.bat and everything unpacked is located). Installer uses this DLL to distinguish between GOG and regular game. If file is present, installer should recognize game as GOG and skip 25.movies.bif moving to checking chitin.key only.

Thanks EvilMax, that was exactly what I needed. I did have a goggame.dll, but it was named like goggame-156734534.dll. So I just deleted the numbers in the file name and now it works. Appreciate it!
