Hi Roxane,

I'm currently in Waterdeep.I noticed that I could pick pocket the first elite guard at the gate with no consequences even if the check failed.

Additionally I noticed a lot of "illegal items". As an example I added a screenshot (see below). In Waterdeep there is a shelf with two scrolls. Between the scrolls seems to be empty space but there are actually items with no picture/use/whatsoever. If I click on this space I sometimes pick up these items which take one slot of "nothing" each but cannot be removed from the inventory (without the help of the ee-keeper).

While I think that another mod did override something producing these items, I wanted to ask you if the content of this shelf was fixed (not random) to know which items were overwritten?

Hi Roxane,

I'm currently in Waterdeep.I noticed that I could pick pocket the first elite guard at the gate with no consequences even if the check failed.

The guard there just has some standard scripts and this is intentionally. For example, in my own install these scripts are enhanced by RogueRebalancing mod, so the guard will react to theft like it is added by that mod. If you have other mods installed, then he inherits the scripts from there. I have decided to create the non-joining NPCs that have no specific role in this way so that they appear *in line* with the rest of the game.

I understand you mean the far left shelf where your single guy is standing. It contains two scrolls BGDSCR03.itm and BGDSCR03.itm. The other items there are not fixed but random items RNDSCR02 etc. Means what they are is determined at the time you load the area from random tables defined in your game. The mod does not pre-define what you find there.

General remark - The issue with what you call "illegal items" is not limited to the Sandrah mod but something that is game wide. The bam-less (picture-less) items appear all over the game and even in some shops. As a rule, never pick them up and never purchase them, they stick in your inventory and even if you put them on the ground, they re-appear. I have not seen anyone yet found an explanation but I have seen many reports about this effect.

Just like you said, the only way to clear your inventory is with EE-keeper or Near Infinity.

Have a problem with Sandrah Mod. I have her in my party until I finish the Mines. As soon as the mine is flooded and my party meets outside...Sandrah says that I bet on the wrong horse and leaves my party. What I want to know is, is this permanent? Is this is bug in the Mod? Did my character do something wrong to lose Sandrah?

This is no bug but one of the regular checks for the status of your relationship. It depends on many factors e.g. Have you talked to her often via PID? Have you done her quests? How have you solved other quests? What answers or opinions have you expressed? Did you have any interest in her opinions at all?

This does not mean that you always have to be nice to her or agree with everything she states, (It does not even matter if you are good or evil as long as your actions and reactions are acceptable for her.)

You can check what C:GetGlobal("Sanpoints","Global") returns.If it is below 47 after you leave the Cloakwood mines, she leaves you for good. The two of you are not on the same wavelength.

Hello Roxanne,

Loving your work so far but I need some help solving stuttering issues.

I'm up to in-game day 254 on a BWS Sandrah mod BGEET installation, and started experiencing some stutturing (every couple of seconds the game hangs briefly) It's still playable but VERY annoying. The stuttering started appearing while playing NTotSC quests. It started as an occasional stutter after the Northern Coast Fire Salamander Cave and now has gotten much much worse while doing the Northern Citadel quest. Area AR34PB (tomb) is specially buggy.

Now after doing some research and testing I've noticed:

- Removing Sandrah from the party solves the problem instantly;

- Bagging and removing all Sandrah's items both in-game and through EEKeeper doesn't help;

- Loading a previous stutter-free save and doing these quests again without looting any item but the necessary quest items, also doesn't help;

- Doing every available dialog option with Sandrah also doesn't help;

- In a previous playthrough I remember experiencing similar stuttering at Warewolf Island but after coming back from the island the stutter went away. (this can be unrelated)

These observations lead me to think it might be a script conflict.

Any ideas that could help?

Thanks in advanced.

I have a suspicion but must investigate further.

When you left the salamander cave, did you encounter some orc priest and an avatar of Talos?

Thanks for the fast response.

No. I encountered Talos and the Orc after the cave on the Salamander Island. Only after completing The Northern Citadel quest and Nadalin original fire Salamander quest I was able to request Nadalin to transport me to the Salamander Island. So The stuttering started long before this encounter.

So the Salamander cave that I was refering to in the original post was the one on the Northern Coast near Sil and the fisherman.

I see.

I suggest to look here

Download and run that tool and see if there is any repeating block in her script.

Did as you suggested and unless I do something with Sandrah like attack or start a conversation no script block indication is shown.

No luck.

Sorry that this did not make us wiser.

It will take a little time before I can offer better help. I just lost my hard drive a few days ago and thus all my installs. It will take a bit to restore that and create a new install on which I can test e.g. a savegame to look deeper into that matter.

PS - It may still help if you can post a savegame in a zip, rar or 7z here.

Thank you for the attention.

I'm attaching two save, first one is the current state of my game (with stutter), second one is the last saved game before the problem begun.

You do not get the right conversation or you get no conversation at all?

See what Global("ScrlalzT","GLOBAL") is set to. If it is not set at all, set it to 1.

Just to confirm. You found the talking (not-talking for you) scroll in Beregost upstairs from Firebead? Sandrah is in your party?

In this case there was an event missed

C:SetGlobal("ScrlalzT","GLOBAL",1)

You may have a bit of backlog in the conversation depending on how far you went into Elminster's quest already.

Finally (after SCS) I have restored my EET install and was able to test your stutter savegame.

I have no issue with it in my game, no stutter.

I have found however an issue with the AI script assigned to your Player1. The search traps function is constantly activated and deactivated. It seems to make him stutter but not Sandrah.

Maybe you can try to switch that AI script off and see it it helps?

Another issue may be that you carry every bag/device of holding in the game with you...

Other than those observations I cannot trace your problem.

So console

C:SetGlobal("ScrlalzT","GLOBAL",1)

should activate the dialogues.

This is normally set when you come down the stairs from upstairs Firebead. You also get a journal entry etc.

Instead of console, you can also try to visit Firebead in Beregost again, area BG3334.

I'm not sure, but i think i already witnessed this dialogue (Sandrah says something about the scroll being dangerous and we should be wary of using it, etc.) Or are you talking about another dialogue?

I am talking about the dialogues you have when you use the *Converse* button on the scroll in your inventory. Unless I completely misunderstood your issue?
