First of all, many thanks to everyone who maintains these forums and answer questions within. The amount of work that you all put in is incredible.

 

I also hope that this is the correct place to post this query. Apologies if I should have put it somewhere else.

I'm doing a play through after doing a Big World Setup last month. It is my second attempt at a large mod installation with the first being something of a disaster of bugs and glitches Previously I had stuck to just core components like ease of use and the tactics/ascension mods to make things more interesting.

I've gotten a considerable way through the game (Virtually only the final battle remaining with a few sub quests to finish) before realising that the tactics mod wasn't installed. I never fought Improved Ilyich but when I first encountered Bodhi, she had her fire shield up and her special vampiric abilities as per the tactics mod of old. She also had a CON draining effect that I hadn't experienced before which led me to believe that maybe it had installed. But then the sahuagin city wasn't improved and the cloak of mirroring easy to obtain again. Kangaxx also seemed to be a bit of a pushover.

 

In looking at the Weidu.log I can basically see that these components that I'm experiencing are probably related to SCS and that the tactics mod didn't install as far as I can see.

 

Basically, I want to know if I can install the tactics mod over my current installation for future play throughs or if I need to do a new install altogether. If it is a case of a new install, where did I go wrong in the BWS? It's been fun but the most fun is in the challenging aspects of a game like this. Kuroisan, the final battle with Irenicus, improved Illyich etc are all really fun encounters.

AGB1, Thanks for your reply. I'm afraid I don't fully understand though. So please bear with me.

 

I think what the thread is saying is that there are some conflicts (the ones listed) but other parts of the mod should install. Is that right? I pushed on through to the final battle vs Irenicus to see if he had all his buddies with him and it was just the vanilla array of demons so I can say with some certainty that it just straight didn't install right?

 

Can I install the tactics mod over my current install for the current save game without it causing problems?

 

Sorry for the probably dumb questions. As mentioned, this is my first even semi successful attempt at a big group of mods.
