Is a secret door always automatically found? Or can I set a difficulty somewhere?

I meant in Near Infinity, but thanks. At least I know it's possible to calibrate these things. Do I have to replace the ARE file, though, if I want to put on a map an object that registers, and becomes visible, as a secret door? That is how it works, right? You click on that highlighted section of a wall, and it changes to something else. Does a BAM play there? What if I want another object to work as a door in this way - not visible until detected? Maybe even a scripted NPC. In point of fact, I've placed something that works as a foothold for climbing by the gnoll fortress, and it checks for nearby PC in the Find Traps mode. There is a small chance every round they can find it, until then the thing is hidden by invisibility. But I don't like that invisibility can be dispelled and seen through. Or do spells marked as Nonmagical, Dispel mode 0, repel these Divinations too? True Seeing? Or if I were to make the creature immune to those effects? Besides, the proper secret door-type detection would have more flair.
