After having installed the recommended part of the big world, I found that several spells are uncastable. Dragon breath, Summon Planetar, Comet and others all simply do not cast.

Is this a known problem? And if so, I did not find any ways of uninstalling these mods, so should I just reinstall?

I hope someone here knows a bit about this, as any help is welcome!

Are you sure the skills didn't turn to be innate spells, aka when you pick the HLA, you gain the ability to cast special spells, but unlike those that you memorize into your spell books, you gain then by just sleeping, after which you cast them through the star button, aka special ability interface.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

I'm pretty sure they aren't. Unless they changed it without removing them from the actual spell tome, and made them uncastable from my spell tome even when in there?

It was spells like dragon breath, comet deva and such, though they were all from level ups, so I can't deny there may be some issue if they were made into innate spells, as I imported an older character.

Maybe I should give it a go.

Are you importing an old save to a new game?

Yes, I did.

There lies your issue. This does not work unless your new install is 100% identical to the old one. Strating a new game and not importing a cre from save done on another install should do it.

I just tried, and now the spells just aren't there at all. So that's a thing lol. Kinda sucks since I always found the dragon breath to be my favorite spell for direct damage, and the planatar my favorite summoned creature.

Damn :-/ Maybe I'll just play unmodded as I can't be bothered to go through all the mods and see which one did this lol

Anyway, thanks for the help!

Edit: Which mod makes it not work by the way? (If you know)
My previous modding has never posed a problem when I imported an older character?

As you can guess from the above answer, it's not as simple as one mod breaking importing... but it's not 100% either by the way, as you can import a thief from BGT to a BG2EE game quite easily. But try to import a priest from a Divine Remix'ed game to non, and you'll be in trouble torlubes. Refinements might be involved, but that's just an arbitrary guess.

I see. I've decided to try another class, and save my old savegame for non-modded. Possibly a monk, since I haven't done one of those for ages lol.

Thanks for all the help guys! I might do some more experimenting later on and see if I can find the real issue, or if it is some sort of tweak that made it happen like it did.
