NTotSC updates to v3.0.0!

Changes:

-additional comrades to Lamalha will only spawn together with Lamalha and not be present before
-ntotsc.tp2 changed back the name for compatibility reasons
-dungeon under Firewine Bridge: added solved journal entry and 500 xp if cleared (detected if loot from ar53pb.are is taken)

Which version of BWS are you using?

The current version on https://github.com/B...p/BigWorldSetup

I don't think that version of BWS was updated to reflect the new component in Jatsey's version (the V2.3 created a new component for some encounters). The Sandrah mod requires this so you'll have to use Jatsey's version. As Jatsey mentioned, you can pause and manually install her version or switch to the EE Only BWS here (https://github.com/EE-Mod-Setup). I just did an install a couple of weeks ago, the new components are reflected on that version.

@Jastey @Roxanne https://github.com/R...otSCEET-Interim can I use this version 171 for BGT? I don't want to install northern tales of the Sword Coast v2.3.0 recommended by the BWP guide because BP-Balancer won't be able to purge excessive overpowered items from that mod with version v2.3.0. I cannot find anywhere NtotSC171.

///Edit:

Thank you. :)

Same answer as on G3: the PB Balancer changes are already integrated. Roxanne's interim version is not compatible with BGT.

NTotSC updates to v 3.0.1. Changes are compatibility with the updated DSotSC BG:EE (removing of script change Bear River area).

Wanted to let you guys know of a few bugs.

During the quest to find the cousin who went missing by the campfire and was killed by orcs, it seems the very last room you meet troll bane you have an additional room that you can go up in, however it crashes to desktop whenever you try to enter it.

The slaying of the ogre mage with shilo doesn't seem to work, he is missing and this is after i've already completed the cloakwood mines.

The book of ignorance quest has no NPC at sundries to start it at all and near infinity can't detect any creature by the name of friar. While Shilo does exist in the former mentioned quest but doesn't spawn.

I am not sure this is a quest from NTotSC.

The slaying of the ogre mage with shilo doesn't seem to work, he is missing and this is after i've already completed the cloakwood mines.

 Shilo and the org is not introduced by NTotSC. There are traces of this in the package, but it was not implemented. This was the same for the former BGT-Version.

The quest does not start in the Sorcerous Subdries. From the readme:

Shaella (original game character)
  A really psycho woman inside Blade and Stars wants you to find a book in the Candlekeep crypts.

Hasdar
  After talking to Shaella, Hasdar will approach you outside of the Blade and Stars. He wants you to find this book Shaella was talking about, and he has some better info on how to find it.

Hey my fellow Baldur's Gate enthusiasts, I'm hoping to get an error resolved that's preventing me from continuing installation of my bgt megamod.  I have the weidu file attached, along with a copy and paste of the dialogue that occurs during the error when I attempt to install the latest NTOTSC 3.1.1.  Other relevant item of note is that I installed all the latest Big World Fixpack changes prior to starting this megamod installation.  I have the latest worldmap mod extracted into my BGII folder, so as far as I know that shouldn't be the problem.  Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

Late edit:  I deleted the NTOTSC folder and replaced it with a fresh extraction from the 3.1.1 zip file.  Did not re-run the big world fixpack (although fixpack contains no NTOTSC folder and doesn't appear to change this particular mod anyway).   Lo and behold, NO ERROR stopping installation this time.  Mods can delete this post as they wish, unless a (yet unknown to myself) nugget of information can be gleened from it.

Hi everyone,

In fact it is not a bug, but I would like to announce that I opened for review the pull request on SHS github with my polish translations for current mod version.

Thanks for such great mod for one of my fav games.

This is great! Thank you very much! I am preparing a new version with updated Italian translation currently, and will include Polish, too! Dziękuję bardzo! :cheers:

Would you add two more lines to the setup.tra, please? My editor can't speak Polish, so it would be great if you'd do another pull request with an updated setup.tra:

/* new in v3.2.0 */
@55131 = ~Pass to Cloud Peaks~
@55132 = ~Entrance to Cave~

Sure, done.

I assumed that it will be used in map tags or something similar.

Yes, it's for mapnotes. Thank you very much!

One more question: the Polish version does not have a setup-ee.tra. Would you like to provide one or should I just double the setup.tra (so the installer doesn't complain)?

I don't have EEs at all. I read somewhere that there are changes in items descriptions format and in encoding so I did not touch this file. If setup.tra is ok to be used in EE, please use it.

For start, it's just the same item descriptions but without the "is usable by" descriptions, because they are added automatically. I'm preparing something (I can copy&paste, just not write new texts) and will let you know.

Hello Roberciiik, would you have a look at the file setup-ee.tra here: https://github.com/G...sh/SETUP-EE.TRA

Does it look ok from Polish letters?

Yes, in Gitlab viewer I can see polish characters correctly. If setup-ee.tra is encoded same as setup.tra (win1250) I think it works.

However this file contains only item-related descriptions. Should other string be included?

Thank you for checking!

Only item description is needed in setup-ee.tra: first setup.tra is called, then for EE, item descriptions are overwritten by lines in setup-ee.tra. All other lines are still in installation memory from setup.tra.

Hello Jastey, I've played a bit with this mod. Some things to note:

Spoiler
- Killing Orpeho gives no experience (the “evil” dwarf that kills the beggar inside the building and is killed by Brentaw right after).
- Brentaw dialogue right after : where e’re -> never saw this form being used. Is it an error or not?
- "Helm watch over our quest" I think should be “Helm, watch over our quest! So that its end may come soon.”
- The term “gallihading”, used by the captain at the main door, doesn’t exist.
- Tomb “Beware of the wolf” -> you can use it to continuosly spam new wolves and get all the experience you want, while the “novelty factor” rapidly wears off. Suggestion: why don’t you go for 4-5 encounters, so you can kill them, but then a final boss (a werewolf like Karoug) comes ? You could even add dialogues to him, how his brethren is now tormented... and if you have been to Werewolf isle, you could part peacefully with him by telling that there is a better place for him there.
Also, what about an option to actually skin him and make an armor out of his pelt? it should be strong.

Low hung brow, dazed look on your face..... It appears that you are correct, my friend. You are indeed a complete imbecile.
