Hello

I have decided to restart a new BG2 campaign (including throne of bhaal) with some mods. (Mainly, the imoen romance mod http://imoen.blindmonkey.org/  , the longer road for ToB,  some new NPCs, some rules balancing and 5/6 new quests)

Right now, my main character is a druid shapeshifter, and after checking some balance mods, i have decided to use Saradas mod "fix" to make sure my character will be ok in the late game : http://www.shsforums...d-shapeshifter/

I'm also using some of the BG2 tweaks components : http://www.gibberlin...-bg2tweaks.html    , but NOT the shapeshifter component, fearing some major incompatibilities between the two..

In the BG2 tweaks mod, it is possible to allow shapeshifter to cast spells when transformed, but the late game progression is much less interesting than the Saradas's version.

So, i would like to fuse the 2 mods, simply by using Saradas mod as a core, and adding the "cast druid spells when shapeshifting" from the BG2' tweaks mod.

I know it might turn my main character into a overpowererd beast, but hey, why not? ^^

Could a kind soul help me doing this? I have tried my luck by messing with the various files from those 2 mods, but it appears to be way more complicated than anticipated :)

I'm using the Enhanced edition of BG2 (the GoG version)

Thank you

PS : sorry for my english, i'm not a native speaker.

Can you use the Near Infinity tool ?
If yes, open the spell you druid uses to shapeshift/polymorph, and remove the effect that uses the opcode 145, which the tool will tell you is literally the "Disable Spell Casting Abilities".
Now then, if the spell uses the opcode 135 to do it's thing, then the above won't work, as you need to change a lot of other things... as that disables the spell casting by it's very nature, and it needs to be reverted, add the monsters other abilities, which involves a bit more work. If that's the case, you might as well... give up. Or just use the other version of the mod. If neither of those will do, ask for someone to remake the spell ... as I won't do it.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thank you The Imp for your answer.

I will follow your instruction and update you tomorrow. I did download the near infinity tool, and i think i need to read some tutorials to do what you say :)

But it sounds relatively easy, so hopefully, it will work. Otherwise, well, i already have a proper char to play and enjoy, so it's still good.

Thanks again for your answer

Sorry to bother you again The Imp, i have a little update : after toying with the Infinity engine, shadow keeper and some google search (opcode, what's that? ^^), i found the spells responsible : spcl643 and spcl644.spl. (shapeshift into werewolf/greater werewolf)

So, the 2 spells do 4 things : create a new item (your pawns), give you a new ability (turn back into human) and play some 3d animations. After browsing the list of effects in the "Create Item effect" (opcode 111), i found your opcode reference (145).

So can you confirm : i just need to delete the effect (145) to all the various pawns created (must do that for spcl643 and 644, and every +2, +3 +4 +5 pawns in those .spc) and i should be good? ^^

If so, then infinity engine is an amazing editor ^^

Another quick question : the various werewolf claws are considered in this mod as hand to hand weapon. If i change their category to short sword for instance, can i use short sword proficiency to "buff" my thaco/damage as a werewolf?

Thank you for your time
