As an offshoot of my spell mod I made some plants, herbs that is, that could be found in the wild, picked up and used. Then I made some more, and now I have five. Two are mushrooms. I think I'll make a few more. It could result in a nice stand-alone mod. But I'm looking for a partner to take on the job of placing these herbs on the maps. It's no good if the plants are just thrown on the ground - they should be hidden behind houses, put down by tree trunks, next to ponds, by the corners of ruined buildings, in cellars... It's lovely work, actually, distributing them in the world with care like that. I'm ready to let my partner plant them wherever he likes, so long as he (she) puts some thought into it.

Example of a shroom, unidentified:

The herbs all have some useful properties, that's the reason for them to be picked out among all the weeds. One of the plants is belladonna, which I changed completely. I replaced all of the icons and the description image. Belladonna has black berries, not red! What a disgrace that Bioware didn't bother to even look it up back in the day, when they were creating the item. And it actually gives some protection from lycanthropes now - it can be worn as a necklace as well as eaten.

I took pictures of real plants for the description images, inventory icons and ground icons. It's painstaking work, but as a result they blend with the scenery and are quite hard to spot, if you are not looking.

Plants get a green outline with Tab to tell them apart from items - and so that the party can ignore them if the player is not interested.

So that's how it is. If you are interested in putting them on maps smartly, sign up here.
