I've got buckets of old, frayed strings from bygone worlds in my tlk. I suspect it's causing some newer work to go astay. Want to clean it, but there can be thousands of them there. Is it possible to restore the whole thing somehow? I don't see that option in Near Infinity.

Which game is this ? And what platform ? If it's the old-non-EE BGT2, this is easy, you just reinstall the latest patch.

If you got you game from Steam, you can reafferm the file content-or what ever it's called, which checks file validity and redownload the changed files.

BWS can also reset your game from the backup it made during the innitial setup(if you enable that option). But that's about it... for a quick solution, the last and longest is uninstall and reinstall of the game. But that's shorter than uninstalling existing mods... and no Near Infinity can't do any of this as it's not meant for that.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

What you should know is that if you have two installations of the same game and want to delete the second one, its uninstaller will instead kill the first installation, and if you click too hastily, remove the (common) data folder with the saves and settings as well. But reinstalling is harmless.

This is because the uninstall is tied in the Windows Registery. The actual "uninstall" of the second game is... tatadaa: Deletation of the folder. Just like it's "making" was, a copy of the original game to another folder.
