For some reason, several mechanics-related strings that we get to see often enough in the games have been made, in EE games, silent. They include "You may not rest here. Either find an inn or rest outside" (in that fabulous narrator voice). "Your rest has been interrupted" is there as well, and others. These sounds made the original game's experience much more storylike, along with loading screens etc. I don't know why Beamdog silenced these messages, probably their idea of streamlining again, but I would like to know whether it's possible to reenable the speech? The strings in the TLK actually have all the corresponding sounds, "You may not" and everything, they are called ERROR... wav files. But they don't actually play for these strings, nor do any other sounds you might substitute. How was this silencing achieved and can it be undone?

I don't know, but it doesn't sound intentional. I think we might need to invoke Avenger to look at the source code perhaps.
