Because when I install it in BWS (BGT) I get this:

ERROR: [DruidGroveMakeover/LEGACY/ar1900.TIS] has size 18432024: TOO BIG FOR WEIDU (max 16777211)
ERROR: error loading [DruidGroveMakeover/LEGACY/ar1900.TIS]
SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED Druid Grove Area Visual Makeover
What's the problem here?

The mod should use COPY_LARGE command, while it uses COPY ...

The mod is hosted on github and I made a proposal (=Pull Request in github language) there.
No idea how active Ulb is these days, I have not seen any posts from him lately. If nothing happens, I may link BWS to the proposed version if you confirm that it works.
This is how it can be done when mods are on github. It avoids putting things into Fixpack and assures that the mod owner is informed of the problem and can incorporate the fix in an update.

I'll likely be trying a new installation this weekend if nothing gets in the way. I'll report afterwards

Don't worry. Ulb has not retired. It is only the way he is modding. He can stay away from the community for weeks and months, and come back with a lot of fixes, or even a new mod.
