One of the items of mine has this arrangement of effects: While equipped, Self - > Use EFF File on Condition, Every 1 second -> Cast spell, Caster -> AOE 30 ft., exclude center - > Use EFF File (alignment-based), Instant/Permanent Until Death - > Set Color Glow Solid, Instant/Limited: 1. This ring is supposed to reveal the alignments of everyone around the person wearing it. And if I put either the glow directly in the spell or put some other effect there, like damage, the repetition only continues until the ring-wearer moves away. However, since I do need the filters inside the spell, I require this extra step, which somehow makes the glow permanent. I could draw attention to this problem and file it away as an obvious bug, but perhaps there is a workaround? I've tried including a delayed Remove Effects in the spell so that it would undo itself after a second, but it didn't work.
