These are the latest and probably the last versions of my mods to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Baldur's Gate:

VC v2.1

NeJ3 v2.1

They can be installed either over BGT v1.18 or played alone.

The installation order is: SoA-ToB (or BGT) + VC v2.1 + (optional) NeJ3 v2.1.

For more information, please visit our forum boards at BWL. Complete walkthrough is available on YouTube.

Hello Vlad, I've got a question: how do NeJ and TS work with SCS and Questpack AI?

Hello Vlad, I've got a question: how do NeJ and TS work with SCS and Questpack AI?

I bet your guess is better than what Vlad would care to research for. Now, if you would report any good or bad instances coming solely from the mod itself, that would be something he would be definitely intrested. And probably at the blackwormlair... not that anyone else would not mind hearing from experiences you get with the combined mods. Aka, try and find out and tell us too, about it.

OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Got it. Do you know if Nej and Vlad also touch Baldur's gate 1? Planning to do a Trilogy run.

Edit: yup, some minor things are touched.

By the way, that's the install order suggested:

The installation order is: SoA-ToB (or BGT) + VC v2.1 + (optional) NeJ3 v2.1.

Well, as you can read from here/with a few spoilers:

SoA-ToB + ToB + official patch (v26498) + BGT + Vlad's Compilation v2.1 + NeJ3 v7.1 + BG1-songs

BG1-songs restores the original BG1 area songs and can be uninstalled when you start the BG2 part of the game.

;)

There are two things getting touched:
The black talons being improved
the possibility to spend your money in a bank to be rich when arriving to baldur's gate 2 (sweet)

By the way...

BG2 only, I think. I'm looking forward for your NEJ and TS reviews after this playthrough.

I will publish a review, but I'm honestly afraid of playing these for the consequences they may have in my next playthroughs...

There are a few components that are really interesting, like the improved firkraag quest, the third way (a path to not ally yourself with Thieves and Vampires that I already appreciate due to my RP stuff) and stuff of this sort :P
If they turn out to be good, I will actually feel sorry to not be able to experience them in my consequent EE playthroughs. We shall see.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to play these two mods? An example:

There is a portal inside Irenicus Dungeon (I Guess it is from NeJ). When clicking on it you are advised that you could explore the dungeon a bit, but.... I'm not exactly sure what are the intentions of the mod author. What I mean is:

- is it advisable to take Yoshimo with you?

- Do I have to explore (part or all ?) of irenicus's dungeon before, then go into the portal?
- can you get into NeJ after I have left the dungeon ?
- Should I join first the thieves and Bodhi before going in?

How would you do that ? As in, the start of BG2:SoA has two teleportation portals, but only one is accessable, the one just above the start gages. So no Yoshimo nor Bodhi/thieves. And you have to complete the whole first part of the NEJ(it's NEJ1... the NEJ2 and 3 come after getting back to SoA).

Vlad, I got a question: can we install Setup-BGTMusic.exe from BGT?

and if yes, do we install it last?

Really Sergio ? I told you this answer ... Vlad means that with the BG1 songs, in the link in this post.

Thank you the Imp, but I still don't understand.

Did Vlad publish a separate BG1-songs archive, or is he referring to the BGT music.exe?

or is he referring to the BGT music.exe?

Yes.

Actually, I am quite sure the BGT thing was named that at first. Cause it only later came up with the possibility to contain both... cause the songlist -file was originally restricted to 100 file references, and is still without the ToBEx, or EE engine, andf BGT being only a non-EE game  .
