Everyone agrees that a xp reduction mod is a much needed tool when installing a Megamod. Leonardo's guide suggests a 50% reduction, but it doesn’t specify for what list of mods. Since the game I have in mind includes a large number of quest mods (RoT, DS, SoS, SotBH, CtB, Askavar, Grayclan, etc…), I wonder if it’s not the case to lower the quest’s xp reduction from 50% to 25%. Based on your experience, what do you suggest?

EET_Tweaks works on classic as well and allows for a global creature XP reduction as well when installed after all content mods.

That is to say, it does a check of all the previous installed mods' monsters and calculate an overall and propotional reduction of all xps, do you mean that?

Yes, it does exactly that.

Yes, it does exactly that.

Does it do so for all the installed mod's quest experience too?

The quest component does that one, yes. It doesn't filter on source of origin.

Forgive the many questions, but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. To sum all up, no matter how many mods I install, be it two. twenty or forty, no matter how many monsters there are and how many missions I solve, at the end of BG1 I will always have the same amount of experience points (about 150k), and the same for BG2. Is it correct?

It depends what you want.  Making your party multiclassed reduces their levels but keeps their full EXP.  Using a variety of companions does a similar thing.

I just wanted to chime in to say that Ding0's Experience Fixer does the job perfectly well for the classic game.

DEFJAM v7, aka Ding0’s Experience Fixer, is here:

https://github.com/P...0XPmod/releases

With lots of mods installed, try playing with 50% xp reduction for creatures and quests.
