Please, while you test things, find the time to check if all the tables are in order, everything has the intended pre-requisites, and such.

Comments on possible improvements on icons, portrait-icons or visuals are also appreciated :)

In a word, try to check/consider/comment every possible aspect of the mod!
Thanx!!!

Ever forward, my darling wind...

Hey guys! I don't know if this is the correct place, but hell, here goes!

I was under the impression that the Refinements Mod was supposed to "restructure" the SoA World Map, but it doesn't look any different to me. I installed all the components of the Mod, but see no difference in the travel times nor in the placement of the icons. Was this supposed to be corrected? Or, will it be completed later?

If I am not mistaken, the biggest thing was to include random encounters, and fix bugs with inaccessible areas. You may not notice the travel time problem, unless you play the game through a couple times with different parties.

BUT, I am neither a tester or programmer, just what I gathered through the forum.

As Camdawg will tell you when he eventually reads this, the Fixed World Map component fixes some of the screwy travel times. For example, without the component, Travelling to D'Arneise Keep takes close to a day (when leaving Athlatka), but only 8hours coming back. There are lots of examples like this. Also, what would happen is upon discovering a new area, travel times could go up or down, which is strange since AFAIK the PC and the party isn't taking a different route to their destination.

Hmm...IIRC, the Keep travel time is still 20 hours. I will double check tonight. But, thank you for answering Caedwyr and Baltrek!

Also the improved world map won't effect games that were saved prior to install only new games.

As it should be. The problem was that 8 hour return trip. I guess now it lasts 20 hours too.

Sorry, in Japan ATM so I'm only checking in sporadically. The world map fixes make the travel times consistent, i.e. Caedwyr's example of the de'Arnise Keep (it should be 8 hours BTW). Since the world map is stored in the save game, the changes will only be seen with a new game. Other changes are new travel links between Trademeet, Windspear, etc. and the chapter six areas, meaning no more 50+ hour travel times for two points that are next to each other on the map.

Why is this Hypnotoad video so popu... ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.
