Could someone unconfuse a fledgling modder, and tell me if there's there any semi-intelligent way to change a party NPC's animation via a spell effect, then use another spell to change it back to what it was originally?

IESDP's effect description suggests that if I set the new animation using the effect "Animation Change", with "0" as the second parameter, I should be able to revert to the original by using the same effect, with "1" as the second parameter. I've tried this, but either it doesn't work or it's just me.

So, how do you do it? I'm sorry if I'm missing something painfully obvious here, but I really haven't a clue what to try next -- except that I'd rather not resort to using a cursed item.

Thanks in advance,
Sovran

Is this for BG2?
Are you using effect 53 (Graphics: Animation Change)?
Does the animation change work at all, or does it just not revert?
Are you using the Animation ID in its decimal form?

Sorry for being a scatterbrain, more details:

I'm using the effect 53, in BGII. The animation changes the way it's supposed to, I believe, but reverting to the old one doesn't work. The old animation only returns if I set the duration to "limited" and wait it out (duh).

It seems that even if I set the second parameter of the effect that should revert to the old animation to 1, the effect still uses the animation ID.

I've used the decimal for the Animation ID, both in a separate EFF file and in a "straight" effect (not that I knew what I was doing, I just tried to get some response.)
