The purple lips/yellow eyes one is very nice. I can't say that I've ever played with Valen, so I don't know if it fits her, but it's a very good picture.

How does it look in 38x60 pixels, by the way? That's usually the biggest problem with the portraits I make (those that are actually meant to be used in the game, that is) ? they look great in 210x330, which you only get to see for a moment in the epilogue, while the small ones that you end up staring at for hours tend to look a bit blurry...

hey...how about putting a comet in the background???

in ancient times, halley's comet and other comets were seen as harbringers of death, disease and doom...

while i think the yellow eyes and red lips is more appropriate for her, i admit i really like the purple lipstick and yellow eyes...

i wonder if you could make the eyes more..."blazing with unnatural hunger..."

maybe lighten it, or make it more brighter and transparent...

I think the yellow eyes/purple lips looks best of these three. On my screen (12 inches, 1024x768, brightness on the lower side) the purple eyes don't really look purple at that size, they just look dark, so the yellow ones are definitely better at getting across the message of "there's something weird about her eyes".

The same thing is true for the lips (but the other way around, of course; here it's the purple ones that I like): the red ones just look like normal lips, more or less (possibly with too much lipstick...), while the purple ones show that something's going on here.

The red lips were too strong, the purple ones blend better with the image overall. The yellow eyes are by far the best, retaining the feral look of your first attempt. An excellent portrait.

agreed with quitch. although red lips do tend to bring up the palour of her skin. but if you are goig to use red lips, you need to have something that "reminds" them. a kind of cinder moon perhaps?

I think the hair could be a bit more interesting, though. Also, your dark background with the dark hair blends together too well on the small pics.

Maybe you could try a sunset/twilight background (with stars) to bring out more of her features?

I`ll try to include a comet behind her, it should lighten up the background to make her hair stand out a little bit more, I`m in the search for a good one... One the other hand I believe I might end up making the comet myself in Photoshop, it`s just that I have less time for anything lately than I had initially dared to think.

nice portrait and the yellow eyes does give her a feral look. yellow eyes + red lips is my favorite, but I thought the red could be darker, like blood or something.
