@ Eric P: Glad you like the character :) But he's chaotic in that he doesn't mind backstabbing and betraying people to achieve his own goals, not just a "Grr I'm evil, and I'll kill you because I feel like it." Most NPCs are likely to treat him with disgust or caution. He's rather a loose cannon, and certainly not to be trusted. And now that I think about it, he could easily be a Transmuter, Conjurer, or Invoker as well.

Name: Zhekrin
Gender: Female
Race: Human, but with trace amounts of red dragon blood
Class: Monk
Alignment: Lawful or Neutral evil
Strength: 18/20
Dexterity: 14
Constitution: 16
Intelligence: 12
Wisdom: 14
Charisma: 6

Zhekrin takes after her red dragon ancestors in many ways. She is vicious, cunning, bloodthirsty, and greedy, but she insists that her ancestry has nothing to do with this. She seeks wealth and power, and thinks that association with the PC is a good place to start. She is disturbingly fond of hitting things. In her self-interest, she's not unlike Viconia, but she lacks Viconia's charm, beauty, and subtlety. She prays occasionally to Tiamat, or to Null in his aspect as the Reaver, but her faith is reserved for Task. She takes considerable pride in her ancestry.

Zhekrin's heritage is evident in the red-gray tone of her unusually tough skin. Her nails are long, sharp, and clawlike, rendering her unable to wear gloves, her knuckles bear small spikes, and she is highly resistant to fire (about 50%). Her voice is also quite low and harsh.

She has a wary respect for the dragons of BG2. She is actually afraid of Firkraag, though, as she is no more than a mongrel. She's not related to him, though, and even she doesn't know who her draconic ancestor might have been.

Zhekrin is generally irate and sullen, but she nonetheless has strong opinions about most NPCs. She is cautious of Keldorn, Mazzy, Jaheira, and LG Anomen, due to the extreme differences in their views, and the devotion these characters have to their respective causes. She doesn't really understand Cernd's apparent obsession with the balance, or Valygar's hatred of magic. Minsc's simplicity irritates her, as does Aerie's shyness. If Mazzy is not in the party, she develops a "friendship" of sorts with Korgan, in the sense that they both like killing things and earning gold. She finds Nalia's "for the needy!" ridiculous, and originally thinks that she's joking. She doesn't much like Yoshimo or Haer'Dalis, considering them "all talk," although she wouldn't use quite that turn of phrase. She'll attempt to corrupt CN Anomen, but it's highly unlikely that she'd succeed - tact is not one of her strong points, and she'd probably start by needling him about his family and the Order. She sees Edwin and Viconia as powerful rivals, albeit with different strengths. Edwin's connection with the Red Wizards worries her, as does Viconia's worship of a powerful deity. Jan simply annoys her.
And the mirror, it reflects a tiny dancing skeleton, surrounded by a fleshy overcoat and swaddled in
A furry hat, elastic mask, a pair of shiny marble dice, some people call them snake-eyes, but to me they look like mice

Wow!!! How cool is this? Hella cool ;) There's precedent, too, so the idea can be developed without too much hassle (I think). I'm thinking of Sheena here, but it's possible that someone would want to code things without digging into that mod *shrug*. Also, there may be resources available among published FR materials. Heh, I have a half-dragon character as well, but I wrote it under 3.5e rules...and the non-dragon half is Drow :D

I hope someone takes this idea and runs with it, too!

Sheena...annoys me. Greatly. The fact that she's Firkraag's daughter, that she's good-aligned and "rejects her father's evil influence" or whatever it is... I don't like her much. But Zhekrin is only 1/24 dragon or something, basically just enough to look weird.

Yes, dragon kin, as opposed to half-dragon. A draconic equivalent to planetouched characters. There are variations on that theme among published gaming materials, and bound to be some people around who are familiar enough with the concept to work something up.

Name: Chella
Gender: Female
Race: Half-Orc
Class: Cleric/Thief
Alignment: True Neutral
Stats:
Str: 18
Dex: 16
Con: 15
Int: 12
Wis: 15
Chr: 8

Total: 84

Weapon Proficiencies:

Mace +
Club +
Sword and Shield +
Staff +

As odd as it may seem, this half-orcish girl has become a Cleric of Helm, but bitterly so. She wanted to be a Knight or Paladin, but couldn't due to her race. This has embittered her, but she doesn't fault Helm for human prejudices. She doesn't let others know of her crafty thievish ways however, and keeps that much secret. She is a silent vigil as she roams the streets to find the sinful.

When she joins your party, it's mostly a chance to get out there and explore mostly from her thievish side rather than for holy reasons. Granted, she'll still be judgemental, though her views on right and wrong may seem odd to most.

She will have a questline where she can upgrade her Cleric class into a Helm kit with a shiny Lawful Neutral enhancement to go with it.

Romancewise, she's relatively open, but she doesn't like Elves or Gnomes or Halflings. Anything else is game if male or female.

She doesn't understand the likes of Mazzy who tries to be a Knight even though she can't either, and she doesn't much like Keldorn's sympathy as his words feel hollow and full of one not used to racial slur. Anomen might be begging for trouble, though two opposite ideals are clashing so horribly so it's to be expected.

For the most part, she's not the most tender, but she's not spiteful either.

Name: Asamora
Race: Half-elf (Her mother is an elf but was raised by humans)
Age:
Class: Cleric of Lathander
Alignment: Lawful Good
Str: 15
Dex: 13
Con: 13
Int: 12
Wis: 16
Cha: 13

Personality: She's very shy at first preferring to keep to herself until she learns of the pc's heritage and inquires about their nature. She has an interest in her elven heritage and oftens asks elf characters questions(elven pc, Elhan, etc.)
. She isn't a terribly funny person but has her moments and can make light of certain situations even her home life like saying her mother must be part drow as it's the only explanation for her nature.

Biography more genral ideas then a real one: Her birth mother was a cleric of Talos and her father a Fallen cleric of lathander. Her father wallowed in self-pity for a long time after his fall(because of her mother) becoming a drunk and spending time at the copper coronet. . Her mother had mixed feeling about her "family" sometimes she was in love with Asamora's father sometimes she hated him and their 3 children. Eventually she abandoned them and Asamora became mother to her siblings. They were eventually taken in by her aunt A priestess of Lathander where she "found" religion. She rarely sees her brother who ran off to become a mercenary and her sickly sister lives in the slums but frequents the Temple district. She has a volatile relationship with her mother and

Romance: For either male or female PC, She likes it if the PC is outgoing but is aware of the risks surrounding his or her heritage. She is wary at first unsure of what to make of a Bhaal spawn. The PC can be kind of distant and even cold but he or she must not be incredibly rude or she will not romance them. She will initially take an interest with good pcs questioning them about their conflicting nature. With Neutral PC's she will question their purpose in the realms. With evil PCs she will remain distant for awhile but shows hints of becoming infatuated, by the time she does say she's in love with evil him/her she will suffer a crisis of faith. She does become distant when the pc becomes the slayer but when confronted says she does not want to lose him/her to the "dark fire inside" then vows to protect them even if it mean dying. When she is turned by Bodhi she hesitates a moment before bodhi yells at her and she attacks. She us incrediby thankful she is revived and swears her love to the pc.

NPC relations:
Generally she gets along with all the npcs except:
Viconia: Because of her attitude
Keldorn:Because of his home life.
Haer'Dalis: Because he bugs her with his aloof attitude.

Anomen: She chastises him for his arrogance in a manner that makes him feel more ashamed than angry. They often have similar views but she does not try to push hers on people which leads Anomen to question her conviction. This leads to a rather large argument in which the pc can intervene . They come to grow on each other and if there is no active romance they do fall in love. She mellows him down a bit but he is still ,pardon my french, an ass and accepts it.

Imoen:She likes Imoen but she can be too cheery for her tastes sometimes. She try's to put some discipline into Imoen but for the most part fails.

Jaheira: She respects her views and they "often" talk about "the Balance" of things. They often have a kind of simple philosophical debate

Jan: Simply put he reminds her of her uncle Jayne who saved a small town called Canton only to be eaten by a wyvern She has a certain fondness for him that most characters do not.

Quests She meets a corrupt and possibly insane cleric of Lathander after spellhold who yells at her for traveling with a bhaalspawn(and drow if any are in the party). He will than leave saying Lathander's wrath will fall upon her. Later when the player is traveling they will be attacked by the same priest and a band of fighters. It gives her doubts particularly if the party has a low reputation or if the pc is evil.

She receives news that her father is missing and Talosians are suspected as the reason why. She must go to her mother.

Her Brother is in trouble and his companions are being held against their will somewhere in Windspear hills because he failed to follow through when working for a mage

I like this one.

I'm surprised no one made a comment on the reference to Firefly. :D

But anyway even though I like the concept of Asamora I can't really ask if I can do it, after all I have 28-30 NPCs of my own on my plate and the number is increasing each day. :(

Oh and is there a NPC in production or finished with the name Luna, because while reading through this I noticed an NPC idea with that as same first name as one of my ideas that I do intend on developing, I ask this because if there is I'll have to change the name of my NPC which would be annoying. :(

I fixed the quote (I think)

I want in party gay-man, who will molest to every male NPC (especially Ano and Keldi) and he must do it funny, not disgusting as many flirt-packs. :whistling:
He should be human (or may be elf).
Oh, and he must have high STR or DEX. Then he should be warrior or thief.

@Vall: lol Salavanas couldn't be a joinable NPC because just about every female member of the group would be trying to throttle him!

I think Noober should have been a joinable NPC. Every single enemy would just fall at your feet begging for mercy!

Also it would be nice to see some romances for the shorter races. Like a romancable dwarf, gnome or halfling (maybe a freaking half-orc!) because enjoyable as all these mods are, I'm fed up of humans, half-elves, elves and extra-planars. :\

Though I do have an idea for an non-romancable NPC of my own.
How about an alcoholic drow cleric of Eilistraee who hates her Goddess?^^

She can be found on the street outside the Copper Coronet, half-drunk out of her mind and fighting off three thugs. After which you can get her to tag along, or send her back to the inn (where she can be recruited later).

Name: Xuniira
Race: Female Drow Elf
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral with a few evil tendencies here and there.
Class: [Unwilling] Cleric of Eilistraee (I'd rather have it favoured soul, but meh.)
Starting Items: Bastard Sword, Chain-mail armour, and a bottle of ale.

I'm no good with stats, so I'll leave them alone.

Bio: When asked about her past, XUNIIRA frowns at you and tells you that it'll cost you a round of Evermead tonight. With that settled, the drow explains briefly how she was the daughter of a lowly merchant in her home city (which she refuses to name). However, her family sold faulty goods to a handmaiden of Lolth, and through that managed to royaly screw up an important ritual (thus angering the goddess herself). Since her family was pretty much destined to die horribly and painfully, she decided to get the hells out of the Underdark, and turned to Eilistraee for protection (considering the other drow gods wouldn't take her in, and she mistrusts surface gods). Since coming to the surface, she has been unable to cope, and has been drinking non-stop. Somehow, you doubt this is the full story, however.

The idea is that she was born blessed by Eilistraee because of a potential chance of having important part to play in the future (as a companion of Gorion's Ward). The handmaidens eventually caught on, and that's the real reason she ran away. She hates Eilitraee for that reason.

Her actions would depend on party reputation (like if you've good reputation she'll refrain from evil acts, while with a low rep she won't hold back)

For a kick, I figured "why not have her flirt with a horrified Viconia, too!" XD

I could consider making her a little deeper, with Charname setting her completely along the path of good, or turning her away from Eilistraee altogether. Heck, maybe I can make her a future high-priestess of <charname>, Lord/Lady of Murder! XD

Relations:
Viconia - Likes to mock her a little, considering that Vicky used to be of higher standing than her, and now they're both "surface-trash" as she puts it. She's actually a little jealous that Viconia (for all her problems) adapted to the surface better than her. She'll flirt with her when drunk, but they're united by their distaste for surface life.

Keldorn - In their first conversation she tries to mock him, but is startled when he informs her that he can see a spark of good in her. After that she tries to ignore him altogether, and only insults him if pushed.

Jaheira - Is apparently very much like her older sister and thinks she'd make a good Matron Mother, if the Bhaalspawn is a more playful, easy-going type, she'll view Jaheira as the leader-figure instead (though she's smart enough to fear <CHARNAME>'s power as a demi-god)

Anomen - Makes her wish they were back in the Underdark so that somebody would execute him already. She gets along slightly better with Chaotic Neutral Anomen (provided no alignment changing thing is involved). He loathes her due to the drinking.

Edwin - She finds him hilarious, since he's so high-and-mighty, and she was born into a society where a man like him would be slaughtered.

Imoen - At first she doesn't like her, but eventually warms up to her. Imoen may make a comment on Xuniira having good in her as well, which makes her withdraw too but... I'll show it in dialogue.
Im: Aw, c'mon, being good isn't all that bad!
Xun: I'm drow, I cannot be "good". It is a pointless disposition, anyhow.
Im: So? I'm the soulless daughter of murder, and I'm good! Do you seriously think I'd bother if it wasn't worth it?
Xun: I... I will think of it... after a drink.
Im: Uh, huh.

Korgan disgusts her, and eventually you'll have to either kick one of them out or have them fight till near-death, when you can either have the beaten one leave, or have them killed.

She views Minsc, Haer'dalis and Jan as insane and ignores them altogether.

Yoshimo gives her alcohol, so he's alright by her.

Aerie drives her insane, Xuniira finds her weak, pathetic, and a liability to the party. (Quote: "You have me [and Viconia/Anomen/Jaheira/Cernd], so she's no good for healing. Plus there are other, better mages."]
If the party reputation drops low enough (just not low enough for Aerie to leave, or prior to the leaving speech) she'll decide it's alright to finish her in her sleep. (You've shown you're callous and evil, so you won't mind.) As far as she's concerned, she just did her job in keeping the party alive.

Comments:
Next you'll suggest we start holding hands and singing nursery-rhymes with the monsters, eh, abbil? (High rep)
Could be worse, I guess. Now who wants a drink? (Medium rep)
Ah, just like home... but is that a good thing, or not? (Low rep)
[She won't leave regardless of reputation]
By the Goddess, leave me alone already, I'm hungover! (Selection)
Light take you! (Battle cry)
Jiv'elgg lueth jiv'undus phuul jivvin!! [Torture and pain are fun!!] (Near death[sarcasm])
Hah! Now who wants a drink? (Critical hit)
Do I look like a matron to you, wa'el? (Made leader)

This place has been empty for a while. It needs new life.

Pesoli
Female
Race: Deep Gnome
Class: Fighter/Thief
Alignment: True Neutral
Stats:
Str: 16
Dex: 18
Con: 15
Int: 12
Wis: 15
Chr: 8

Total: 84

Weapons:

Short Sword: ++
Crossbow: +
Single Weapon Style: +

She is pretty much a lvl 1 NPC waiting to be grown.

Personality: Pesoli has come to the surface because she just wasn't satisfied beneathe the earth. She wanted something different and now she's not sure she likes it. As one who can talk to rocks, she finds the stones used to carve buildings not as interesting as the rocks in the likes of Underdark type places. Beyond that, the people do not bother her much at all; unless they bother her first due to her underground heritage.

She's fine with most NPCs unless she's in a romance conflict, which she can do because she can romance all short race males and Halflings can cause some conflict.

Viconia will tease her, since Deep Gnomes are lesser to the Drow, but Pesoli will try to ignore the barbs rather than quip back. It is through this way that she has developed her sense of stealth.

Beyond that, she'll be rather calm about most things but will tend to comment once or twice about caves.

Illsi
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Cleric (Scribe)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Stats:
Str: 12
Dex: 15
Con: 10
Wis: 18
Int: 16
Chr: 15
Total: 86

Weapons:
Mace +
Staff +
Sling +

Illsi has grown up on tomes and spells. Not arcane spells, but Divine spells. She's not sure what god gives her power, if any, but somehow she is able to naturally cast divine magic without trying. Personalitywise, she is very by the books and isn't the most adventurous of people. She does seek thrills and scrolls to read. She dreams of romance like in novels, but is not the goodly girl type at all. In fact, she cares more about things being orderly like a library shelf.

Kit Description: The Scribe is like a wizard, but tends to be very much a priest in their magic. From a less magical perspective, Scribes can read all sorts of tomes that most priests never would be able to understand and can even learn them. They tend to be less sturdy than most Clerics.

Advantages:

-Can use Mage Scrolls. Can learn up to 2 Mage spells per spell level up to 7.
-Casts Priest Spells as though they were Sorcerers.
-Can use items and equipment often limited to arcane casters.

Disadvantages:
-Mage Health progression from levels 1-10.

I have no idea if such a kit would even be possible.

Ehm, I'll probably regret this but...

I am thinking of coming up with a simple "Template" (not as in D&D Template, but rather a template that with the use of Replace etc, can quickly turn a simple text file into a working .D) that will allow All Writers of the "abandoned NPCs" to quickly and easily compile/write them into a working version.

The Author WILL have to
- determine Stats / Class / Portrait personally
- determine how the NPC looks, Proficiencies, etc
- follow the Template format exactly
- type interjections (or skip) for a Pre-prepared list of interjections (that excludes Irenicus' Dungeon)
- have to know the context for the above-mentioned interjections (Which may or may not involve looking at the Game Dialogues)
- write Banters between their NPC and Biowares (with option to skip those unfamiliar with)
- inform exactly where the NPC spawns
- write Banters between the PC and their NPC. This will have to follow a general Railroaded Bioware Banter, usually with option to "Quit" the conversation. Customisation allowed if the Writer is ABLE TO LEARN IT.
- Romance will be supported as long as it follows the standard layout
- Author will have to write with ~ ~ s and codes referencing each item
- Author will have to name each segment of the Dialogue

The Author will NOT have to
- learn anything about WeiDU modding
- learn anything about writing .Ds, .BAFs, .TP2s
- learn anything about Installation
If he wants to do more though (see Unsupported) he can learn how to do it himself.

Unsupported
- Custom Kit for the NPC
- Custom Items for the NPC
- Custom Quest for the NPC (though with a compelling story that is reasonably implementable, its ok)
- Custom Upgrades for the NPC
- Custom interjection points, the Author can ask
- Any Bodhi Kidnapping. Even if it is a romance, its Very Very Old.
- All Interjections come with some lines of story before it. If those lines are NOT enough for the Author to remember the context, and he still doesn't know / can't remember the interjection points, then he will have to look them up himself using NI (or skip, of course)

==================

I don't ask for much commitment here, I only think in terms of what a Bioware NPC would have, less the custom item / quest. So it would be about

For SoA
- 4-8 banters with the PC, more are welcome
- 1-3 Banters per Bioware, at least 8-10 Biowares covered
- 1-2 Interjections per quest, less Stronghold Quests & NPC Quests. Remember, this is the MAX - you don't have to write for all of them. The list goes roughly (offhand)
Spoiler

For ToB
- 1-2 Banters with the PC
- 1 Banter per Bioware, at least 8-10 Biowares covered
- 1 interjection per quest, going roughly
Spoiler

I don't usually bother to check this thread, so...

If anyone is interested, please PM me.
If you are very excited, please give me at least 5-10 days to establish a working NPC template.

If anyone would like me to make this post a separate Thread, feel free

Looks interesting! I'd associate the character with either Mystra or Azuth, since she sort of straddles the line between arcane and divine magic. Well worth developing.

Working and playing on a Mac Pro 6,1 running Mac OS X 10.13.6 High Sierra, and a Mac Pro 3,1 running Mac OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan.

~Buion na 'ell! I serve with joy! Your eyes and ears I shall be. Let us hunt together!~
- Erysseril Gwaethorien: a joinable, romanceable NPC mod for BGII - SoA/ToB, in sporadic development.

A female elf warrior of nature and a Bhaalspawn cross paths during their quests, joining forces to share adventure and companionship. Will they find more?

I think it would be interesting if someone would create an NPC for Valas DeVir, Viconia's brother who got turned into a drider. There could be a quest related to rescuing him and turing him back into a drow, and then he could join the party either out of gratitude or as a way of staying with his sister.
