What did you guys think about this module? For those who don`t know it`s an official module released by Rob Bartel of Bioware, so it`s supposed to be of high-quality. I`ve read good things about it myself, but never got to try it out, I will do so as soon as my new computer arrives (2061 I think :P).

What character do you recommend me to start with? And how was the general feeling throughout the mod?

I played, it is written like Planescape Torment, and it's got a mysterious air around your character. I started with a Paladin as I always do, it was quite hard and if your actions are either regarded as Lawful, Chaotic, Evil or Good as opposed to the OC where it's just Good or Evil.

It was a good module, but it's not finished, and I played this ages ago, so I'm just going by what I remember, which is the bare bones of it, really.

Thanks for the answer. Obviously Bioware doesn`t really intend to finish it, the last working reports date back to February 2003. Which is disappointing, I am a Torment fan and I`m looking forward to trying the mod.

Why is it high quality, 'because it is official' ? I have seen very many very buggy official releases.

I didn`t say it is of high quality, I said it`s supposed to be of high quality, at least that`s what everyone said when talking about the mod at the Bioware forums. :)

NWN is pretty buggy itself, at least the very first releases were that way.

Yes, khay I know. I was not so much answering your post, but commenting on a general notion I think is around which is official=always goood. ;)

I played Episode 1, it was quite good. Experience comes from actions, not killing monsters. I think I was a bard.

I like it alot myself, play through it twice. I was very interested in the mod, in part I, there were alot of loose ends. Unfortunately, I don't think any further progress was made and part I was released so long ago. <_<

You may want to play it once just to see what it's like. I think The Witch's Wake would be an incredible mod had it been finished. As it stands, you finish the one and only module just about the time you really get into it.

You should be able to get it if you go on the Update bit on NWN, if it doesn't offer to download it on that then you probably have it already.

I was reading the BioWare forums today, and apparantly it's back in development! :)

They're going to do a 'Remastered' version of the first module, then carry on with the series. Ace.

I'm not a real roleplayer type of gamer but I did like WW. The more you asked, the more you learned. You hardly get XP for killing creatures and you get more XP if you talked more. I had fun with this module.

It was quite fun a mod. Played through with a old looking human fighter. The feeling was something extraordinary indeed.

I liked it, but getting no XP for killing off some of the harder ennemies is far too harsh.

Well, it at least discouraged killing things. Quite rare a thing in games this day.
