Well if I look in NI it doesn't state that Kido is an actor in that area. So it looks there is a mistake there, what can I do?

Nope. If you spawned Kido via a script then he won't show up as an actor.

Does AR0510.bcs exist? If not, you'll have to attach it by using the READ/WRITE commands.

Using EXTEND_TOP is my preferred way of adding creatures to areas as well. That shouldn't pose a problem.

Just out of curiousity, why do you have a .bio file? All you need is the .cre file and then you assign his biography using the .tp2. CRE files do not have .bio files associated with them by default.

Now I'm confused, since I tried EXTEND_TOP with my NPC and there was this problem with the first post in the area-script:
IF
	OnCreation()

  Explore()
  Continue()
END

It didn't work at all! Well, my NPC appeared as he should, but not the Explore(). My NPC-spawn must have overridden that post some way. When I instead used EXTEND_BOTTOM the Explore() worked, but the NPC took a few seconds longer to appear. That might have something to do with my slow computer. Anyway, that problem (with the slow spawn) made me change my NPC's location to another place on the map, since I originally wanted him to talk to the PC as soon as you enter the Docks (AR0300). But since it took some time to spawn him, it was possible for the PC and his party to walk away before my NPC spawned and was therefore not forced to talk with the NPC.

I had some ideas of adding the post I wrote above in the .baf-file I used to EXTEND_TOP. The problem is that I in that case add a post that is already in the script. Can I do that without making any damage?

The problem with your script is the OnCreation(). If that's in the area script, then it will cause problems. OnCreation() when used in an Area Script is supposed to trigger the first time the player enters an area. If that's in your NPC's script, then it should work as you have it.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Could you perhaps rephrase and start a new thread about it so that it is easier to understand?

I have a .bio file because I don't know how to create a biography through .tp2

I have a .bio file because I don't know how to create a biography through .tp2

You can add it in when you copy in the .cre file.

COPY ~my.cre~ ~override~
SAY NAME1 ~Name~
SAY NAME2 ~Name~
various soundset stuff here too
SAY BIO ~I was born a poor coal miner's daughter...~

Why are you using copy_existing to get your NPC in an are. All you have to do is make a small .baf-file with the lines adding your NPC to a specific area, and then use EXTEND_BOTTOM (or EXTEND_TOP, a subject we're discussing here)

This is code is used to assign area scripts to area (ARE) files. Please re-read the example. It should be used like this:
COPY_EXISTING ~AR0510.are~ ~override~
WRITE_ASCII 0x94 ~AR0510~

Keryvian said she got it working by spawning creature KidoJ, but Kido has then no banter nor join conversation, which he should have cause they ought to be BKido and KidoJ

Sorry I edited something in the script now cause I had KidoJ standing in my script so I changed it to

SetGlobal("KidoExists","AR0510",1)

Kido spawns, but his sound files I do not here and he does not talk what so ever! So what is wrong?

I don't see a kidoj.cre being added by your tp2 so I don't see how it could have been spawned. It is possible the sound files are not working because they have the wrong filenames (see csound.2da), I'm not sure on this point though. As for not talking at all, does he have a dialogue file assigned?

A kido.cre is added and that is why I needed to change the script. Where can I few csound.2da, just through NI?

Yeah he has got KidoJ assigned to him as dialogue file, which is the talk about him joining.

By the way I can see the text I programmed in the .tp2, I just don't here the sounds!

Okay I got some of the sounds working. But for example kidox and kidoy (the ones with oempa loempa still don't play). Does anyone have a clue

Sorry that I am such a pain in the ass. Have one person helping me debugging, but apparently I'm a lousy programmer as it still isn't working. The progress is slow, very slow...

Anyone willing to become the second person trying to debug this tiny part of the mod :(

I suggest that after you have installed Kido using your tp2 you open Kido.cre and check at the sound files are associated correctly. I recommend DLTCEP for this.

COPY ~Kido\audio~ ~override~

Shouldn't it be instead:

COPY ~Kido/audio~ ~override~

Either is correct (though the latter is preferred for OS X conversion).
