from the readme:
The BPSeries is a collection of Party AI Scripts for Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and the expansion, Throne of Bhaal. Currently there are six scripts included in the series: BPRanged, BPFT-CL, BPMage, BPMulti, BPPureF, and BPFT-TH.
Features that the BPSeries adds, in no particular order:Scripting support for spells and items introduced in The Darkest Day. Most, but not all, spells are added to the BPSeries. Some aren't scripted cos i didn't like them or haven't yet found a use for them; more significantly, a small number (mass teleport, nature's gift, otiluke's force helm, arcane surge) aren't scripted because i didn't know how to script them.
Buffing based upon Wes Weimer's autobuff routine rather than the eSeries cast'n'attack timer. i realise that not everyone in the IE modding community regards this routine as A Good Thing. i figure, if it's good enough for WW, it's more than good enough for me. However, if people are using this script and they object to the buffing component, i may re-introduce the cast'n'attack delay in a later version.
Consolidated scripts. The eThief script has been replaced with a Fighter-Thief script - BPFT-TH; and the ePriest and eFighter scripts merged into one Fighter-Cleric script, BPFT-CL. Mostly this was done just to pander to my playing preferences (gotta love the F/T), but it has some rationale behind it: there are enough Fighter-Priests out there, and while the merged script isn't much larger than the individual scripts, the generic Multi script they would otherwisee use is *much* larger (and hence slower).
A slew of minor combat routine changes: slightly revised targeting routines, threat level responses, start-of-day autobuffing, that sort of thing.
as is always the way with these things, all suggestions/ comments/ criticisms welcomed, but leave the flames at the door, hey?
two big thank-yous, even they're both thanked in the readme:
Cirerrek: BG just isnt BG without the eSeries.
AvengerTeamBG: i love the DLTCEP. i know absolutely *nothing* about programming, and even i found it self-explanatory.
