Demogorgon in BG2

Hmm, I guess Demogorgon is a Tanar'ri. I must have been looking at him in 3.5 terms, where Tanar'ri is a subtype.
Since he has "Summon Tanar'ri" and "tanar'ri traits", he must be one.
I hope Wotc doesnt sue us for the copyrighted material we've posted.
We need a 3.5 Demogorgon. His Balor fighter would be CR 30 in 3.5 now. The same as Demogorgon. Demoforgon would still win in a fight between them, though.

I say devils and I will give a shiny penny (course we'll be dead b4 its finished and it prolly never will but what the hey
). Besides Pit fiends are much better than most demons.

Hmm...that Demogorgon is about 5 CR's too high*. The only redeeming factor is his SR (which would need to be lowered with his CR). The other option is to up his stats, since a pit fiend has str 35 in 3.5.

If anything, the +7 DR is what does it.
You would either need a "+5 evil bane" weapon, or a +7 epic thing costing millions of gold.
Fast healing, and the ability to summon other tanar'ri helps raise it.
I really dont want to break him down piece by piece...
In a one on one battle with a great wyrm red dragon (CR 27 or so) Demogorgon would dominate. Definitely so if he summoned a balor.

Never use demons or devils anyway because I find there are soo many more spells that are moreneeded than those summoning spells, like spellstrike...etc

I should point out that Pit Fiends are devils... But they are indeed better than most demons. Likely, one could wipe the floor with anything short of a maralith or balor.
