Is there a complete map of Toril somewhere I could see? It's just that in the games they always mention countries, and the only they say about them are "in the far east" or "far north" or "far south"...SO, I just wanted to see a map of Toril, if one exists for the seeing. Is Faerun the only continent on Toril?

I am the whispers in your head
Letting you know you're the next one dead
I am the blade that cuts your skin
That forgives yourself for all your sin
I am the guilt that gnaws your soul
Corrodes the heart to a gaping hole
The hammers pounding all around
So you beat the walls to rid the sound
I am your memories, distorted and loud
That make you scream and shreik aloud
Yes, I make you crazy, it's all my fault
That we're here alone in this cushoined vault

thanks a bunch :D

After looking at those maps, I wonder... Why is Faerun the only continent ever mentioned? At least I've never heard anything of the other places. Makes the Sword Coast, Icewind Dale, and the areas of Amn look insignificantly small.

I would say the other places are too exotic for common players, and hence that are less promoted. Not everybody can incarnate himself to a Kara-turan samurai or a camel-thief from Zakhara.

A Kara-Turan samurai would be the best. I've seen hardly any official campaigns set there as well. Maybe that's just because my source stinks. <_<

Maztica to teh south. I have read a couple of novels about it. "The MAztica troligy" (originally enough) also "Once around the realm" featuring everybodys beloved Volo has a bit about just about every place in the entire world, he is litarlly travelling around the world (Myth Drannor, Chult, Cormyr, Unther, Kara-tur, and some more). iirc they even dropp by and say hello to Cyric in hes "welcoming" little home :)

All these maps suffer from the Middle-Earthian syndrome - only one, non-complete map of a western chunk of some continent. Does a map of the ENTIRE Toril even exist?

One of the maps that Cyric gave a link to was a full map. You could click on the different areas for more detail.

You refer to the rather "undetailed" areas then it is becose those areas are so called "gray zones" where nothing have been completelly fleshed out yet. The part known as Faerun is the only part detailed in dept. but since the 2nd Edition campaign setting boxed set, they have added a bit more to the edges of teh map in the 3rd edition map. so they are slowly working outward. (and messing upp certain other things in the progress)

What about Zakhara. Or has that been replaced by Maztica.

That's what I thought. I think a campaign there would be cool. Who needs Al-Qadim :D

It is true that the great masses aren't so well versed in the world of Toril and that's why the campaigns are set to the sword coast, icewind dale and amn etc.
