In case you don't what I mean stacking is not leveling up once you are on Taris until you become a Jedi.

You become a level 18 Jedi in this case.

I've done it once and every other character was too far behind me for some reason?

Still worth doing at least once tho, if only to be uber.

Yes it always made me mad that I had eight scoundrel levels that took out of my jedi levels. Do you just not level up until your off taris?

How can you not level up on Taris? Even if you avoided all the side quests, you'd still level up from the game-critical quests.

Because you choose when to level up.

You can save the 7 or 8 levels until you become a Jedi.

The most you have to get before becoming a Jedi is 2 - the one when you start and the one you must get on the Endar Spire.

I levelled up to 4 (soldier) on Taris, just to get the 3rd Melee rank. I had to skip the borderline psychopath and Brandon Starkiller in the Duelling ring, boy, did they wipe the floor with my soon-to-be Guardian.

I don't know if it's necessarily a bad thing. I end up reloading alot, but that's no bother considering the payoff. To me, it seems like the only way to go. But this is the first time I've played the game. I could have been on Dantooine already but I got addicted to pazaak.

I prefere to have 8 levels as a scout for the uncanny dodge II ability, for the implants feat, the skills and hitpoints and I choose to be a consoler (for the extra force powers) but they don't get many skill points or feats

If you only have two levels as normal class and go to 18 in dark side consular you can be...

I did all the quests on Taris with a 2 level fighter and with the help of the NPC's and lots of medpacks and stims.

The dual ring? Including Starkiller?

Starkiller is a bitch, but still possible - load up on shields and grenades and use 2 heavy blasters.

I usually don't waste the time tho - Starkillers pistol isn't that powerful.

I'd do it for the experience. But I figured since the fame on Taris is only short-lived anyway, I finally skipped Starkiller after the nth try.

Thanks for the suggestions... I might try it yet again.

I used that upgraded vibroblade against Bendak and just used shields.

I, too, used upgraded vibroblade, shields, stimpacks, already had the 3rd Melee rank and power attack...

Forget power attack - it sucks.

Go for flurry instead

The sheer amount of combinations for PCs makes me dizzy...

I guess I will have to create an evil double wielding rogue who flurries in the near future.

I killed Starkiller just using grenades, and when I saw one of his grenades coming at me, I ran the opposite direction. And I stocked up on medpacks of course. Don't EVER try to face him in melee unless you're an expert with melee weapons, or you have a whole lot of hp and protection. He butchered me in about 2 hits!

One power attack from him & thats it
