In HotU, if you don't find out the real name of Mephistopheles, is it possible to defeat him ?

Yes indeed. He's not easy to hurt, and you'll have to face him in three seperate rounds, but my wizard simply gave Aribeth and Valen all his Heal potions, called up his Golem, cast the odd Mass Haste or Resurrection and let them get on with it. Victory!
Wizards have real trouble because of all Meph's immunities, but I'm sure other classes have more luck. You can use the demon grabbin' hand to avoid the firestorm and ice storm that occurs between rounds, too.

Meph is more vulnerable to "acid" based weapons AND items
