Edit: Bloody hell, I can't even type "fixes" and can't even edit to correct them :-(

Fixed the title for you. //lightspeed

If I want to install these productions, how do I uninstall them again? Doing a re-install isn't one of my favourite things todo. It's not that I need to uninstall them but you never know what happens. I do have a backup of the most important BG II files though.

Any chance of making this a WeiDU mod?

Some of these productions have conflicting files. Some overwrite eachother.

Example:
File 1 is the original
File 2 from Paperdoll fix is the modded file I'm copying to the override folder and overwrites File 1
File 3 from Item Graphix fix overwrites File 2 again.

Thus, incompatible with eachother.

Is it possible to make these compatible?

They are compatible, as they're parts of a whole.

You'll have to install them in the order given in the download thread. Just make sure you have the most recent version of all the files in the zips.

The files are *meant* to be replaced with the updated versions.

To uninstall it, simply remove all the files that you put in your override again, and you'll be back to normal. Once I set up an all-in-one install i'll probably include an automated script.

If someone wants to WeiDU-ify my work, you're welcome. Myself, I don't have any WeiDU skills to speak of. It might be a future possibility, but if it depends on me, it's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

1)Cool!

2) Ah, so that was my problem. Thanks!

3) Gotcha

4) The point is, some of these new fixes overwrite existing files in the override folder. This means I have to manually copy each original file to a safe place, (which isn't *that* easy) then install these fixes.

On second thought, that might be because I installed them in the wrong order. I'll have to check it again. I'll keep you posted. :-)

5) You and me both. Hehe.

The files it includes shouldn't be in the override folder from a clean install. IIRC there's no files that are overwritten.

So basicly this should be the first install BEFORE any other WeiDU mod to avoid problems?

There shouldn't be any problems; no matter if you install it before, or after any MODs.

I could do the weidu installer, but I just need to know what changes you made on the .itm files, so I can make it more compatible with other mods.

Changes on the ITMs:

- some changes to the game avatar/paperdoll item (the field called Inventory Icon in NearInfinity).
- changes in the effects (i.e. "Set Item colours" have been added, altered, and changed)
- changes in the "melee" abilities (item graphic reference changed on some files)
- change in the item graphic reference

I think that's most of the stuff.

(Michel, check the thread title ;) )

Well, sorry to disappoint finnjo, but I have already WeiDU'd it. That is, I can spare you an afternoon of typing weidu --cmp-from et-cetera on DOS and then guessing to which items have been added any effects...

Should have posted my offer before :wall:

I just need your e-mail. PM it if you prefer not to show it publicly :)

More relieved than disappointed. ^_^ (Just checked how many .itm files there really are...)

As soon as Michel uploads it, i'm gonna grab it and upload it too. ;)

You'll then find the appropriate WeiDU download links (and possible mirrors) in the stickied thread.

WeiDU version sent to Michel.

A note to lightspeed: I haven't written a readme, so you should write one (name it readme.txt) and send it to Michel (I have given him (?) instructions on how to update the archive)
