Happy new Year to everyone ! Yep, a new version has been released. All movies are now stretching to full-screen and also the mod now supports the... Chinese version !

I was oblivious to the fact that the Chinese version has some differences from the usual 4CD,2CD versions and that, thus, my mod was incompatible with it. Mephisto Devil Satan was kind enough point this to me and he even gave me the correct offsets which were found by kind sirs : a9214, yyfeng and maoliyuanjiu. Due to increased work load (and extreme laziness) I postponed dealing with this for some time. Eventually, they were fed up with my constant delays and did the whole work themselves. They have my gratitude.
So, hopefully, downloads will now shoot through the roof

As for the stretching of the movies, many thanks go to aqrit for providing the offsets. I'll have to say that they look pretty good full-screen, even in 1920x1080 resolution :

Finally, I've tweaked the Celestial gate BAM to back to it's original size, removed the black borders and centered it, because the big edited BAM I previously included, caused slow-downs and displacement problems at high resolutions.

This mod offers bigger fonts for Baldur's Gate 2 SOA/TOB , tutu/BGT. The fonts will be used in the dialog window, floating text, item descriptions and Journal. Recommended for resolutions higher or equal to 1024x768.

To install this mod, simply extract everything into your main BG2 directory and run the Setup-BG2-Bigger-Fonts.exe. If you want to use the widescreen mod then the fonts should be installed AFTER the widescreen mod. To uninstall, run the executable again and choose [U]ninstall.

Many thanks to haen for his Font Bam Generator. These fonts are made for the ENGLISH VERSION, they may work on other languages like French, German or Spanish, but it's not guaranteed. Don't ask me to support other language versions or provide different sizes, I won't bother with this mod again. I'm just offering it to you since I had it for a long time in my hard drive.



EDIT:
Some nice people have provided fonts that fully support their Language versions. Just extract these into the override folder of your main BGII directory AFTER you have installed the Bigger Fonts Mod.

• Sephiroth 1311 has created an excellent ITALIAN font. Which can also be used for the FRENCH version and possibly other Latin languages.
  
• djc has provided a POLISH font, only for the dialog window. If you want the original fonts for the floating text and item descriptions, simply delete toolfont.bam and floattxt.bam from the override directory.
