First of all, thanks for replying.

Well, if the game is not a BGT-weidu included one, then you can't have the BGT-music mod. You can start the BGT'ed game in BG2, but you can't install content mods without the contents themselves(which requires a valid non-EE BG1 game).

Which I maybe should have mentioned I have. I have installed my old CD's from 16 (!) years ago - BG1 and ToSC in german, and BG2 + ToB in english. Furthermore, I did do a (kinda) successful BWS install in 2013 with these CD's, so I know it worked before.

The BWP v16 document is WRONG about everything related to BWS installs. This is because the BWS is far more uptodate than the BWP. And if you are trying to install the broken BWP install .bat in BWS, just stop and go back, select the BiG World Full Customization or what ever it was called, select a random option in the compilation(so choose any of them) and then push the "..." button next to it to ACTUALLY CUSTOMIZE the install as you SHOULD !

Which is exactly what I did. When I mentioned BWP, I just wrote what I read in the PDF. I didn't even customize - for starters, I just chose the "recommended" install inside the BWS, let BWS download the missing mods and then let it install - and then it stopped. I did take a look what that install includes, and that is the Big World Fixpack and BGT.

I understand that using the install.bat from the BW install pack and installing through BWS are two different things.

For completeness sake, I chose Baldur's Gate 2/BGT Customization on the first screen.
