bigmoshi

I just wanted to say that this is a great idea. I remember when I did my last mega install in Feb 2007 it took me about 12 hours. Then at the end I realized I made a fatal mistake and had to do the whole thing over again. I like where you are going with this as it makes life very easy for people who find this whole process daunting. Following erebusant's general install is also a very very good idea as I found when I varied from it too much I had trouble, sometimes where I could not continue.

I love the idea of the Big World Project and I hope it one day gets to a fairly bug free state, but its just too much of a risk to play 200+ hours in a game and then find you can't continue. I have found with Erebusant's install order and selection of mods I didn't have this problem. I have been away from this scene for almost a year but I am going to use your install method and give it a shot as I have a few weeks off.

I noticed that in your current game you have not made it to BG2 yet correct? Have you heard of anybody who has played through the entire series yet using your method? Or close to the end of TOB? Maybe its too soon as I see you only recently released this.

Anyway thanks for your efforts. On a side note has anybody heard from Horred of late? Has he been on?

your install order needs some work I would start your research in these 4 places:

1. http://www.shsforums...p...=22224&st=0

2. http://www.shsforums...showtopic=20240

3. http://www.shsforums...showtopic=18294

4. http://www.shsforums...showtopic=22992

That should get you going. I would go through the first thread very closely and also download the .doc, and read the attached install log.

One thing sticks out

TORTURED SOULS v6.09 (BP Compatible Version) should not be installed after BG1 NPC if I remember Cmorgan correctly. If you are going to use the beta PRO5-3 then go fixpack, BGT1.04, SoS, TDD, TS, CTB. then SCS, then BG1 NPC, then the big BG1 quest mods, then smaller content mods, then BP177 and then the tweaks. Some of what you are trying to install would need a workaround and I thnk The Suna Seni/Valygar Relationship should not be installed due to a conflict.

@ Zodden
From Baldur?s Gate Trilogy ? WeiDU (BGT-WeiDU) Developer?s Documentation Version 1.04:

"Baldur?s Gate Trilogy-WeiDU implements support for modifications that should be installed before it. As stated in the readme, the modifications that should be installed before Baldur?s Gate Trilogy-WeiDU include Check the Bodies, Never Ending Journey, Shadows Over Soubar, Tortured Souls, and The Darkest Day. With Baldur?s Gate Trilogy-WeiDU version 1.02, BG2 Fixpack compatibility is also supported. All of these mentioned modifications are incompatible with the base installation of Baldur?s Gate Trilogy-WeiDU in some way, and thus require special patching by WeiDU in order to allow full compatibility between Baldur?s Gate Trilogy-WeiDU and these modifications."

Leo I don't think these instructions apply to the unreleased PRO-5 betas but I am not an expert. You will have to ask PRO5 or Cmorgan if what they said to do applies to PRO5-3. I am sure they may come and comment.

Quick question I have for you. I notice you said that TDD must be installed before fixpack. That goes against the normal install order. Is there any reason why you do this? It just says in the .pdf that it must go before fixpack but it does not say why. Also does that apply to fixpack version 2.0 as well?

Hope you will keep updating the English version .pdf as you go. :) Also hope somebody with the skill will be able to make an English version installer for your mods when its done. That sounds great. It downloads the mods it needs and installs them all in the proper order without user input? Thats 100% awesome.

True grandmastery is fine actually.

It is? I had only left it off because the BP177 readme says the following:

Notes about TuTu Tweaks:
Stay away from the following components, as if they were the Plague (pardon pun).
You'll note that most of them come directly from the Ease of Use/BPv161 no-go list.

XP Cap Remover
True Grand Mastery
Anything "Un-Nerfed"

They will wreck your level-50 rules, if you have either TDD or that component of BP installed!

I know this is a little out of date being almost a year old but is it still valid for the BG2 tweaks?
