Hi! Just D/L'ed the baldur's gate trilogy mod, and ran into a big problem. And since TeamBG is down, thought this would be the right place to ask around.

I install the mod, and i didn't see any errors during instalation, 'cept the xpPatcher whined cus i didn't have some runetime thingy installed, which iI then did, afterwards everything was fine. I start up the game, and push the new 'Baldur's Gate' button, and start rolling up a new char. After im done, I push start, and the intro fires off. When the intro with the "you are in candlekeep, Gorion is your, yadayada" is done, I push the start button, and whammo! after seeing a short glimse of my char standing outside the tavern, the game crashes on me.

Anyone know what the heck I be doin' wrong? I've tried this install a few times now, and everytime it happens. I can start up a game fine before installing, with no problems at all... I even applied the 114patch but it still wouldn't help.

Help!

Not sure, I haven't tried the 114 patch since you can't use it with the BGT-BP mod. I assume you are just playing BGT? How did you install BG1 and ToSC? You need to do a custom install so you can select all the files, including movies. That way, when BGT installs, it has all of the BG1 files it needs. Although, you should still be able to play even if the BG1 directory didn't have the movies. So I am not totally sure what is happening.

Installed BG 1 with Tales of the Sword Coast, both full install. Applied the update and all. BGT crashed both with and without the 114 patch.

Actually, a full install doesn't copy over the movies. At least, that was always stated at the TeamBG site. You have to do a custom install and select them. If you select full and then select custom, you will see that they are not selected. Again, this shouldn't be the cause of your problem. It sounds like something else is causing it.

Phases of the moon. I keep telling you guys but no one wants to accept it. Afterall, that is how M$ builds their operatings systems. Now if they would just use the right phases....
