I just downloaded all the files that I think I need (I hope). What I'm wondering, as I've been reading some posts in the Bone Hill forum saying that i should wait for a patch, is exactly that. I the S_H patch (or whatever its called) that is pinned at the top of the forum the one I should have waited for or is there a new one coming soon enough to wait? I see there are a few bug fixes scheduled for V2, and a few temp fixes available, but it looks like I can work around most of those if need be. Just tell me to play or sit on the fence for a while more

re: v2 of the s_and_h Patch. install the current (v1) version and play the game. v2 isn't far away, but it will be fully compatible with v1. most of the fixes are for the SOA part of the game: the only fix for early in the BGI part is Silke's dialog, and as long as you choose the working version (the good path, IIRC) it'll be fine. the three other issues - Alora and ToTSC problems - are many hours of play into the game; with any luck v2 will be out long before you reach these problems (especially if you have BoneHill installed!)

What can I say?? You can always wait for the next patch. Do you think you need the bugs fixed before you install the game? Can you work with the temp fixes?

Have you installed and played just BP? You might want to try it first.

Thanks. I'm gonna start playing. I have played BP-BGT before, but had a hard drive meltdown, so I'm excited to get into BG1 & 2 again.
